Gensokyo Delight Tea Guide: Leaves, Kettle Brewing, and Filling Machine Recipes
Tea in Gensokyo Delight ~ Youkais' Feasts comes in five varieties, and every one of them can be produced in two different ways. You can brew a cup directly in the
Kettle, or you can draw the finished drink from a Filling machine using a
Glass Bottle. This guide covers the leaves behind each tea and both brewing routes.
The Five Teas and Their Leaves
Each tea type has its own matching leaf item. The leaf is what the
Kettle consumes to produce that tea.

Black Tea Leaves produce

Oolong Tea Leaves produce

White Tea Leaves produce

Yellow Tea Leaves produce

The mapping is one-to-one: no leaf brews into a different tea, and no tea has more than one leaf source.
Brewing in the Kettle
The
Kettle is the direct brewing method. Place the leaf that matches the tea you want into the Kettle, and it yields that tea. For example,
Green Tea Leaves give you
Green Tea,
Black Tea Leaves give you
Black Tea, and so on through
Oolong Tea,
White Tea, and
Yellow Tea.
To make a
Kettle in the first place, use a shaped crafting recipe with the following ingredients:
Iron Nugget x4
Tea Leaves
Iron Ingot x3
Water Bucket
Once you have the
Kettle crafted, keep it stocked with the appropriate leaves so you can brew any of the five teas on demand.
Filling Machine Brewing
The second route uses a Filling machine. Here you do not insert leaves directly. Instead, the machine works with a fluid form of each tea, and a
Glass Bottle is filled from it.
Every tea follows the same pattern: one
Glass Bottle plus 250 mb of that tea's fluid produces one bottle of the drink.
Glass Bottle + 250 mb `youkaisfeasts:green_tea` ->
Green Tea
Glass Bottle + 250 mb `youkaisfeasts:black_tea` ->
Black Tea
Glass Bottle + 250 mb `youkaisfeasts:oolong_tea` ->
Oolong Tea
Glass Bottle + 250 mb `youkaisfeasts:white_tea` ->
White Tea
Glass Bottle + 250 mb `youkaisfeasts:yellow_tea` ->
Yellow Tea
The fluid amounts are identical across all five teas, so the only thing that changes between recipes is which tea fluid you are drawing from.
Choosing Between the Two Methods
Both methods end with the same five drinks, so the choice comes down to what you have available. The
Kettle route needs the specific leaf for the tea you want. The Filling machine route needs the tea in fluid form plus a
Glass Bottle for each serving.
If you plan to make several teas, remember that each one requires its own distinct leaf when brewing in the
Kettle, and its own distinct fluid when filling bottles. The five teas never share leaves or fluids with one another.
