Core Ingots for Dark Crafting

Dark Alloy Ingots are a metal forged by channeling the energy of the Deep Dark. This material has the unusual property of self-repair, drawing on Soul Energy to mend itself over time. Creating a single ingot demands a considerable amount of Soul Energy, so you will need to gather a large reserve before attempting to smelt any. The finished metal is soft and workable, taking enchantments almost as readily as gold. When used in a weapon, it slows the target and reduces their combat effectiveness, making it a useful tool against strong foes.

Pale Steel Ingots come from studying the pale metal found on Pillager armor and Ravager gear. That metal is not a single substance—some samples are silver, others platinum, and many are simply iron with an odd tint. You have chosen to replicate the most common variant, avoiding rare or costly ores. The result is a dependable ingot that serves well in dark crafting recipes where a sturdy, pale metal is required.

End Stone and Purpur Variants

Your knowledge of the dark arts grants you the ability to create new block forms from End Stone and Purpur Blocks. These variants offer additional building options for those who favor the aesthetic of the End in their constructions. The exact recipes are learned through your progression in the dark arts, so keep experimenting with your available materials.

Marble and High-Altitude Stone Blocks

Marble Blocks are normally found only on the highest mountain peaks, far out of reach. However, by combining Soul Energy, Cursed Infusion, and Calcite, you can produce these elegant blocks yourself. Marble works well for floors, walls, and decorative trim.

Indented Gold Blocks are less polished than a full Block of Gold, but they still convey wealth and status. These are said to have been used in an ancient sanctum, making them a fitting choice for a dark wizard's stronghold.

Highrock Blocks are the stone said to compose the tallest peaks in the world. They appear to be a variant of Andesite, and their polished form was reportedly used in high forges. Use them where you want a sturdy, mountain-born look.

Cragrocks also originate from those high peaks, traditionally used for walls and pavement in mountain villages. They give a rough, durable appearance suitable for fortifications.

Siltstones are unusual because their look varies greatly depending on the recipe. They can be combined with marble or jade for a mixed texture, and they also form the base for several decorative block types. Experiment with them to find the style that fits your lair.

Decorative Furnishings

The dark arts also open the door to finer furnishings for your base.

Lighting is one area where you gain improved options. You can now illuminate your lair more effectively than with ordinary torches.

Carpets can be upgraded from basic versions. You must first craft carpet pieces, then combine them into a larger, more opulent floor covering suitable for a dark wizard's quarters.

Thrones provide a commanding seat for your lair. You can order a Servant to sit on one, either by direct command or by assigning them to guard the throne's position. To remove a servant, command them off, assign them to guard elsewhere, or dismiss them. All throne types can receive the Royalty enchantment through a Ritual. This enchantment restricts sitting to you and your allies only. When you sit on an enchanted throne, up to four nearby allies will absorb incoming damage meant for you. If another player breaks the throne, the enchantment is lost.

Braziers

Braziers serve both as light sources and as defensive traps. When lit, they burn any creature that steps on them. You can toggle them on or off by right-clicking. Like torches and campfires, braziers can also burn with soul fire, giving you a cooler, bluish flame option for your decor.
