Powerful Weapons, Tools, and Armor in Goety - The Dark Arts

Combat Weapons

The Death Scythe stands as the most powerful weapon of its kind. Its blades are so sharp that your slashes send cutting force through the air, striking enemies far from your position. Hits also make targets more vulnerable to further damage. The weapon repairs itself over time, drawing on your Soul Energy to restore its durability.

The Blade of Ender is a sword forged from void powers and Dark Alloy, inspired by a formidable foe. It repairs itself using Soul Energy. While sprinting, right-clicking lets you charge forward in a chosen direction; right-clicking without sprinting performs a back step to create distance. Both moves send the blade into a brief cooldown. When not cooling down, a full-power swing releases a void-powered razor wind, and the blade applies the Void Touched effect to enemies. You can also repair it on an anvil using Netherite Ingots. Crafting this blade grants strange visions of the past—artifacts being made, a sword wielded by many hands until it seemed to wield itself, and an orb placed inside a crystal, transforming into something else.

The Stormlander is a hammer treasure belonging to the Illagers, imbued with the fury of a storm. It performs all the functions of a mundane hammer of its type. Repair it on an anvil with a Pale Steel Ingot.

The Ominous Scythe hits multiple enemies with each swing and deals heavy damage. Every successful hit grants you Soul Energy. When your attack recharge meter is full, the scythe strikes in a larger radius, though the meter then takes considerable time to recover—this downtime is shortened if you keep your offhand empty. Repair the scythe on an anvil with either a Cursed Metal Ingot or a Pale Steel Ingot. Beyond combat, it clears grass, harvests crops across a wide area, and collects Sculk blocks without needing Silk Touch. An upgraded version of this scythe exists, carrying the same qualities found in other Dark Alloy equipment.

Armor Sets

Black Iron Armor starts as regular Iron Armor, which you upgrade using Cursed Metal Ingots. The resulting set provides solid toughness. Each piece reduces incoming magic, fire, and explosive damage. Wearing the armor also lowers the Soul Energy cost for casting spells, healing servants, and repairing certain items—though it does not discount Soul Energy used in crafting or rituals. Additionally, your summoned creatures will grant you Soul Energy whenever they kill a mob.

Dark Armor requires more elaborate crafting methods than standard equipment, and its appearance is intricate and intimidating. It offers protection and toughness equal to Diamond Armor, plus some knockback resistance. Like Black Iron Armor, this set discounts Soul Energy usage for spells, servant healing, and item repairs, and it slightly reduces magic, fire, and explosive damage. Its design sets it apart from anything else you can create.

Practical Notes

  • Soul Energy is a shared resource across many of these items—both for self-repair and for special abilities.
  • Pairing armor discounts with weapons that generate Soul Energy, such as the Ominous Scythe, creates a sustainable combat loop.
  • Choose your weapon based on range, area damage, or mobility needs; each tool serves a distinct role in combat and gathering.
