Desks
Desks are furniture pieces that require a chest as part of their crafting recipe.

Dining Benches

Wood families, not individual recipes
Desks, benches and counters are not one recipe each — each exists once per wood type, which is where the bulk of the mod's 317 crafting recipes goes. Learning the pattern for one wood teaches you every other: swap the planks, keep the shape.
That also means the wood you have most of decides what your room looks like, rather than the other way around. There is no recipe cost difference between an oak desk and a warped one.
No workstation required
Everything here is made in a plain crafting grid. The mod adds 250 blocks and 35 items and not a single machine, so furniture can be crafted anywhere you can open a 3x3 — including on site while you are building.
Same on both versions
The 1.21.1 and 1.20.1 builds carry identical recipe counts, so a dining set assembled from a guide written for either line will craft the same way on the other. There is no version-specific furniture to watch out for.
Placing them
Counters and benches are the pieces that most reward planning before crafting, because they read as continuous runs rather than as single objects. Work out the length of the run first and craft to that number — a leftover counter block is harder to use elsewhere than a leftover chair.
