Hazen 'n Stuff Core Crafting and Material Progression Guide

guide

Core crafting, smelting, blasting, and basic material progression in Hazen 'n Stuff form the backbone of every gear chain in the mod. The Crafting category alone holds 221 recipes, while Smelting covers 8 and Blasting covers 10. Most advanced equipment traces back to a handful of foundational materials, so learning the early conversion loops pays off before you attempt the complex shaped recipes.

Starting Materials and First Conversions

Several raw materials feed directly into smelting or blasting to produce usable ingots and chunks.

Note that Chlorophyte and Solar Core appear in both Smelting and Blasting, so either furnace type works for those conversions.

Steel and Zenalite Basics

Steel Ingot has three known sources. Beyond smelting or blasting Crude Metal, you can craft it shaped from nine Steel Nugget. This makes nugget collection a viable path to steel if you have a steady supply.

Zenalite Ingot sits at the center of most high-tier recipes. Raw Zenalite comes from blasting Deepslate Zenalite Ore, and Starkissed Zenalite blasts directly into the ingot. Zenalite Ingot then appears in dozens of recipes, often alongside runes, molds, and boss-drop armor pieces.

The Divine Mold

Divine Mold is a recurring ingredient in advanced armor and weapon recipes. It has two known crafting routes:

  • Raw Zenalite x4 + Divine Soulshard + Blank Runestone + Dragonskin x2 + Pyrium Ingot.
  • Diamond x7 + Arcane Essence + Divine Mold (this recipe consumes and returns a Divine Mold, effectively a conversion step).

Once you have a Divine Mold, you can use it in recipes such as the Alchemist Supreme set, the Astraconic Weaver set, and the Blazeborne set, each of which pairs the mold with runes and Zenalite Ingot plus a base armor piece.

Runes and Runestones

Blank Runestone is the base for rune crafting. Seven Runestone Fragment plus one Blank Runestone and one Arcane Ingot yields two Blank Runestone, effectively duplicating your runestones.

From there:

Arcane Ingot and Block Conversion

Arcane Steel Block and Arcane Ingot convert back and forth at a 1:9 ratio in both directions. This lets you compress ingots for storage or break blocks down when you need loose ingots for recipes like Blank Runestone duplication.

Melee Upgrade Chain

The melee progression follows a clear upgrade path:

Each step consumes the previous tier, so plan your materials accordingly.

Armor Set Upgrades

Several armor sets follow a pattern of combining a base armor piece with runes, Zenalite Ingot, and Divine Mold:
