Overview

The Tooltip Display feature governs how item information appears when hovering over an item, controlling the maximum number of lines shown including the item name and the maximum characters per line. It manages the timing and appearance of tooltips, such as how long a one-line tooltip stays visible, how much extra time is added per additional line, and the base and per-line fade durations. It also adjusts positioning, including the gap between the item name and following lines, the height of each line, and vertical offsets that shift the tooltip closer to the hotbar as more lines appear. Various content types can be shown or hidden, such as enchantments, lore, command block commands, container contents, and attributes for items like fireworks, crossbows, and goat horns.
