Crafting and Upgrading Brooms in Hexerei

This guide covers broom crafting, upgrades, and accessories for the Hexerei mod. Brooms are created in the mixing cauldron using specific ingredients, and their performance can be improved with crafted accessories.

Crafting the Base Brooms

There are three types of brooms, each requiring a different wood log and core material. All three share a common recipe structure: two logs of the matching type, two Bottles of Blood (except the Willow Broom, which uses one), two Wheat, one Mandrake Root, and a primary crafting material.

Witch Hazel Broom: Combine a Diamond, two Witch Hazel Logs, two Bottles of Blood, two Wheat, and one Mandrake Root in the mixing cauldron.
Willow Broom: Combine one Bottle of Blood, two Willow Logs, two Blocks of Gold, two Wheat, and one Mandrake Root.
Mahogany Broom: Combine a Netherite Ingot, two Mahogany Logs, two Bottles of Blood, two Wheat, and one Mandrake Root.

The Mahogany Broom is the most resource-intensive to craft, requiring Netherite, while the Willow Broom is the only one that uses a single Bottle of Blood and Gold Blocks instead.

Crafting the Broom Brush

The broom brush is a necessary component for any broom, but it is crafted separately. You will need to make a Wet Broom Brush first.

Wet Broom Brush: In the mixing cauldron, combine two Mandrake Roots, four Wheat, one Mugwort Leaf, and one Yellow Dock Leaf.

This wet version is not yet usable. You must dry it before it can be attached to a broom.

Drying the Brush

To turn the Wet Broom Brush into a usable Enhanced Broom Brush, place it on a Drying Rack. After the drying process completes, you will have the Enhanced Broom Brush. This dried brush is the final accessory needed to complete a functional broom.

Crafting the Broom Netherite Tip

For an additional upgrade, you can craft a Broom Netherite Tip. This tip is made in the mixing cauldron using one Selenite Shard, three Netherite Ingots, and four Netherite Scrap.

This tip is a separate accessory from the brush. You will need to combine it with a broom and the Enhanced Broom Brush to fully equip your broom with all available upgrades.

Assembling and Using Your Broom

Once you have crafted a base broom (Witch Hazel, Willow, or Mahogany), an Enhanced Broom Brush, and optionally a Broom Netherite Tip, you can assemble them. The exact method of assembly is not detailed here, but the components are clearly designed to work together.

The different wood types likely affect the broom's base properties, while the Netherite Tip and Enhanced Broom Brush serve as upgrades to improve its handling, speed, or durability. Experiment with the different combinations to find the setup that suits your needs. Remember that the Netherite Tip requires significant investment in Netherite materials, so consider it a late-game enhancement.
