Integrated Dungeons and Structures: What Generates and How Often

guide

Integrated Dungeons and Structures adds 84 structures to world generation and almost nothing else. This guide covers what it places, how common each thing is, and why the recipe list is a single entry.

The mod is worldgen, not crafting

The whole mod registers one crafting recipe across 3 items and no blocks. Everything it contributes is generated terrain: 84 structures, of which 80 are surface structures and 4 generate underground.

That shape matters for how you use it. There is no tech tree, nothing to unlock and nothing to build toward. You install it and then find things.

Rarity is set by spacing, and it spans a wide range

Every structure carries a spacing and a separation, and the spread here is unusually wide — from things you trip over to things worth a dedicated expedition:

  • Spacing 21, separation 12 — 30 structures, the common tier: Farmhouse, Brickhouse, Cottage-scale builds, Bearclaw Inn, Treetop Tavern, Tudor Pub, Hunters Cabin, Ruined Church, Ruined Well, Witches Treestump and the rest of the roadside set
  • Spacing 26, separation 20 — 29 structures: the Abandoned Lighthouse, the three Ancient Statues, Pillager Camp, Frozen Crypt, Snifferhenge, Train Ruins, and the whole Lumber Camp and Desert Camp families
  • Spacing 35, separation 29 — the four water builds: Sunken Ship and its Coral and Ruins variants, plus Sirens Cove
  • Spacing 45, separation 20 — 13 landmark builds: Archmages Tower, Dread Citadel, Labyrinth, Pillager Fortress, Collectors Museum, Tinkers Citadel, Tree Of Wisdom, Ruins Of The Deep and company
  • Spacing 60, separation 40 — just two, and they are the rarest things the mod places: the Ancient Portal and the Nexus

Read that as a trip plan. The 21/12 and 26/20 tiers arrive on their own while you travel; the 45/20 tier is worth going looking for; the two 60/40 builds you may never meet by accident.

Everything is biome-gated

Each structure is restricted by a biome tag rather than placed anywhere. A Desert Camp will not appear in a forest and the Polar Bear Den only turns up where polar bears belong, so covering the catalogue means crossing climates rather than covering distance.

It reaches into other mods' woods

The Lumber Camp family is the clearest sign the mod expects company: alongside the vanilla oak, birch, spruce, acacia, dark oak and jungle variants there are camps built for mahogany and redwood. Those only appear when the mod that adds those woods is present, so the same world generates more of this mod when it sits in a larger pack.

Version note

The 1.21.1 build is 1.13.7 and the 1.20.1 build is 1.13.0. Both carry the single crafting recipe and the same structure set.
