Finding and Looting Key Incendium Structures
Overview
This guide explains how to locate and loot the major structures in the Incendium dimension. Each structure spawns in specific biomes or biome tags, and understanding their placement rules will help you search efficiently.
Abandoned Tower
The Abandoned Tower generates in the `incendium:quartz_flats` biome. The game attempts to place one tower per 20x20 chunk region, and any two towers will be at least 12 chunks apart. Because of this spacing, you can cover ground methodically by moving in straight lines and checking your coordinates. Towers are visible from a distance due to their height, so scan the horizon while traveling across the quartz flats.
Forbidden Castle
The Forbidden Castle generates in biomes tagged under `#incendium:structure/has_castle`. Placement is rarer: one attempt per 30x30 chunk region, with a minimum distance of 16 chunks between castles. This structure overrides monster spawning in its area, meaning hostile mobs will not spawn naturally inside or near it. That makes the interior safer to explore, but you should still expect loot to be guarded by whatever mobs were present at generation time. Search large biome areas and use the 30x30 chunk spacing to estimate how far you need to travel between potential sites.
Infernal Altar
The Infernal Altar appears in the `incendium:infernal_dunes` biome. Like the Abandoned Tower, it has one placement attempt per 20x20 chunk region and a minimum separation of 12 chunks. The altar is a compact structure, so it may be harder to spot from afar. Look for unusual terrain features or light sources in the dunes, and check beneath overhangs if you do not see it from the surface.
Nether Reactor
The Nether Reactor generates in biomes tagged under `#incendium:structure/has_reactor`. Its placement matches the Forbidden Castle: one attempt per 30x30 chunk region, with at least 16 chunks between reactors. It also overrides monster spawning, so you will not face natural hostile spawns while looting it. Because the reactor is tied to a biome tag rather than a single biome, you will need to identify which biomes in your world carry that tag. Travel through multiple candidate biomes and use the spacing rule to narrow your search grid.
Piglin Village
Piglin Villages generate in both the `crimson_forest` and `warped_forest` biomes. Placement is one attempt per 20x20 chunk region, with a minimum distance of 12 chunks between villages. These are larger structures with multiple buildings, so they are easier to spot from a distance. Expect piglins to be present, and be ready to either trade or fight depending on your gear and golden armor status. Loot is spread across houses and central buildings, so search every structure thoroughly.
Pipeline
The Pipeline generates in biomes tagged under `#incendium:structure/has_pipeline`. It follows the standard 20x20 chunk region placement with a 12-chunk minimum distance. Pipelines are linear structures, so they may be partially buried or hidden behind terrain. Follow any visible pipe segments you find, as the loot is often located at the ends or in attached chambers. Because the biome tag is shared across multiple biomes, you will need to explore widely to find one.
General Looting Tips
- Always bring building blocks to bridge gaps or create safe paths, especially in uneven terrain.
- Carry fire resistance potions or gear, since most Incendium biomes have lava or fire hazards.
- Check every chest, barrel, and container—loot distribution is not predictable from the outside.
- Use the minimum distance rules to plan your route: if you find one structure, the next possible one is at least 12 or 16 chunks away, so do not waste time searching closer.
