Smithing Transform Guide for Incendium Legacy

guide

The Smithing Transform recipe in Incendium Legacy lets you upgrade gear through a single, specific combination. This guide covers the only known transformation and how to perform it.

The Smithing Transform Recipe

Incendium Legacy adds exactly one Smithing Transform recipe. It requires two items placed in the Smithing Table: a Jigsaw Block and an Elytra. When combined correctly, these produce a new Elytra as the output.

This recipe does not add a new item type. Instead, it transforms an existing Elytra into a different version of itself. The resulting Elytra is the final product of the transformation.

How to Perform the Transformation

To use the Smithing Transform, follow these steps:

1. Place a Smithing Table in the world. This is the standard block used for all smithing operations. 2. Open the Smithing Table interface. 3. Put the Jigsaw Block in the first input slot (the slot typically reserved for the upgrade template or base material). 4. Put the Elytra in the second input slot (the slot for the item you want to transform). 5. Take the resulting Elytra from the output slot.

The order of the inputs matters. The Jigsaw Block acts as the catalyst, and the Elytra is the item being upgraded. Swapping the slots will not produce the result.

Important Notes on the Recipe

  • This is the only Smithing Transform recipe in Incendium Legacy. There are no other combinations that use this mechanic.
  • The recipe consumes both input items. You will lose the original Elytra and the Jigsaw Block in the process, so make sure you are ready to commit to the upgrade.
  • The output Elytra is a distinct item from the standard one. It is not a cosmetic change applied to your current Elytra; it is a new item created by the transformation.
  • You cannot reverse the process. There is no known recipe that turns the transformed Elytra back into a standard one.

Obtaining the Required Items

Before you can use the Smithing Transform, you need both the Jigsaw Block and an Elytra.

  • Jigsaw Block: This block is not crafted through normal means. You must find it in the world. It appears in naturally generated structures that feature jigsaw mechanics. Explore carefully to locate one.
  • Elytra: The standard Elytra is found in End ships, which generate in the End dimension. You will need to travel to the End and search the floating ships to collect this item.

Once you have both items, bring them to a Smithing Table to perform the transformation. There is no additional cost beyond the two items themselves.

Practical Use

The transformed Elytra serves the same basic function as the original—it allows you to glide. However, because it is the product of a special transformation, treat it as a unique piece of equipment. Keep it in your inventory when you are ready to use it, and consider it a high-value item worth protecting.

If you are unsure whether you want to use the Jigsaw Block on your only Elytra, consider finding a second one first. This way, you can keep one standard Elytra for regular use and transform the other into the upgraded version.
