Industrial Foregoing: Latex, Rubber, and Your First Machines
Industrial Foregoing is an automation mod with a machine for nearly every task, and it starts with rubber. This guide covers the opening steps.
Latex and rubber
Your first goal is rubber, the mod's core material:
- Place a Tree Fluid Extractor facing a log to collect Latex.
- Feed that latex, water and power into a Latex Processing Unit to make tiny piles of rubber, which combine into Dry Rubber (plastic).
Plastic is used in almost every Industrial Foregoing machine, so a steady rubber supply is the foundation of everything else.
Power and casings
Industrial Foregoing machines run on Forge Energy (RF) — most operations cost around 1000 RF each — so bring a power source. Machines are built around plastic casings plus gears and components, and the in-game manual documents each machine's cost and behavior.
Where to go next
With rubber and power in hand, you can start automating: mob and animal farms, plant farming, and item and fluid transport. The farming and processing guides cover the machine suites that make Industrial Foregoing a full base-automation toolkit.
