Inventory HUD+ Settings: Open the Screen and Toggle the Main HUD
Inventory HUD+ puts your inventory, potions, and armor onto the game screen while you play, and everything is controlled from one settings screen plus a few hotkeys.
Opening the Settings Screen
The settings screen is titled Inventory HUD+ Settings. Open it to reach every option described below. How you open it depends on the hotkey assigned to that action in the game's controls menu, so set the corresponding hotkey there if it is not already bound.
Turning the Main HUD On and Off
The core feature is inventoryhud, which draws your inventory on screen during play. A dedicated control toggles InventoryHUD on and off, so you can hide it without leaving the game. Bind that toggle to a hotkey of your choice in the controls menu.
If you want to switch every overlay at once, use toggleall, which turns all HUDs on or off together. There are also separate toggles: togglepot for the Potion HUD and togglearm for the Armor HUD.
Main HUD Options
Inside the settings screen you will find an Inventory HUD options section and a Potion HUD options section.
- Background transparency — adjusts how see-through the Inventory HUD background is, on a scale from 0 to 100.
- Mini mode — a compact version of the Inventory HUD you can switch on or off.
- Vertical mode — set to true for a vertical layout; set to false for a horizontal layout.
- Horizontal mode — a separate toggle for the horizontal arrangement.
- Empty slot icons — choose whether icons for empty slots are shown or hidden.
- Hide background if inventory is empty — removes the background when there is nothing to display.
- Item pickup animation — turns the animation for recently collected items on or off.
- Overall item count — shows the total number of items held in your main hand and off hand.
- Position editing — set to true to move all items together at once, or false to move each item individually.
- Debug GUI visibility — controls whether the Inventory HUD, Potion HUD, and Armor HUD each stay visible while the debug GUI is on.
Armor HUD Options
- Armor HUD — toggle the armor display on or off.
- Items in Armor HUD — toggle whether the individual armor pieces are shown.
- Durability display — pick how durability numbers appear: PERCENTAGE (0 to 100), DAMAGE (how much harm the item has taken), DAMAGE_LEFT (how much more harm it can take), or OFF to hide the numbers.
- Overlay durability bars — toggle the bars drawn over the icons.
- Durability threshold — hide an item once its durability percentage rises above the value you set, from 0 to 100.
Potion HUD Options
- Potion HUD — toggle the effect display on or off.
- Background transparency — set how transparent the Potion HUD background is, from 0 to 100.
- Mini mode — a smaller version of the Potion HUD.
- Icon spacing — the gap between effect icons, adjustable from -5 to 5.
- Full bar duration — how many seconds a full bar represents in mini mode.
- Hidden effect icons — show icons for effects that are hidden, and manage the list of effects whose icons are disabled.
- Effect levels — when set to true, the Potion HUD shows every level instead of using an infinity symbol for effects above level nine.
Other Controls
- Click to get — a control for obtaining something with a click.
- Arrows without weapon — when enabled, your arrow count stays visible even with no weapon in hand.
- Update notification — tells you a new version is available. The keepnotify setting decides whether you are told more than once: when false, you get the notice only once per version.
