The Arcane Anvil
The 
Arcane Anvil is the mod's most powerful crafting station. It is used to level up your scrolls, upgrade armor and spell books, and imbue weapons with spells. It becomes the center of your magical crafting once you move beyond basic scrolls.
Ink rarity and legendary spells
Inks climb from common through uncommon, rare and epic to legendary ink, which crafts the most powerful spells. Some spells have multiple legendary levels, requiring the Arcane Anvil to raise them further. The best inks come from magic treasure and slain spellcasting mobs.
Late-game power
Two systems mark the late game:
- The
Scroll Forge, unlocked on reaching nether-level resources, opens a new dynamic for gaining power. - The best craftable spell books are joined by the ruined book found in Ancient Cities.
Upgrades are the final form of progression — by default both armor and spell books can be upgraded — so a mature setup pairs upgraded wizard armor, an upgraded spell book, and imbued weapons.
