Customizing the Jade Overlay's Look and Content

Once Jade is showing you block and entity information, its options let you shape how that overlay looks and how much it reveals. Every setting below lives in the mod's own configuration screen, so you can adjust the panel to match your interface and playstyle.

Appearance

• Background Opacity controls how solid the panel behind the text is, from fully transparent to a dark backing that makes the words easy to read over busy scenery.
• The overlay's alignment can be moved to a corner or edge — top, bottom, left, right, or centered — and Flip Position with Main Hand mirrors it to the opposite side so it never sits under your hotbar hand.
• Dragging in positioning mode places the panel exactly where you want it, giving you finer control than the preset alignments alone.

Content and limits

• Relative Coordinates switches the coordinate readout to a position measured from a reference point instead of raw world coordinates, which some players find easier to follow.
• For creatures, Max Health for Render and Max Armors for Render cap how many health and armor icons are drawn, so a boss with an enormous health pool does not flood the overlay with rows of hearts; past the cap Jade summarizes the value instead.
• Show Details governs the extra block of information that appears while you hold the details button, letting you keep the resting overlay short and pull up the full picture only when needed.

Staying out of the way

• Hide from Debug Screen and Hide from Player List each remove the overlay while those screens are open, preventing overlap.
• Text to Speech Mode reads the target's name aloud through your system's narration, an accessibility option for players who would rather hear the information than read it.

Servers and add-ons

Some options can be governed by the server you are on, in which case the overlay follows the server's choice and the setting is locked for you locally. Other mods can add their own lines through Jade's add-on hooks, so the exact content you see depends on which mods you are running. Because all of it is driven by the target and your own configuration, the overlay stays accurate whichever pack or version you play.
