Forging the Pump-Charge Shotgun and Custom Shells

guide

The pump-charge shotgun delivers high-impact burst firepower against Nether monsters when loaded with specialized ammunition.

Assembling the Shotgun-Fist Frame

Forging the firearm requires recovering a Shotgun Core from sanctum brazier containers. Once the core is secured, assemble the mechanical receiver in a crafting table:

  • Middle row: 1 netherite ingot, 1 Shotgun Core, 1 skeleton skull.
  • Bottom row: 1 netherite ingot placed directly below the first ingot.

This arrangement crafts 1 Shotgun-Fist assembly. In addition, players can assemble spare barrels by combining 3 bone blocks across the top row, 2 redstone dust flanking 1 Shotgun Core in the middle row, and 3 stridite across the bottom row, yielding 2 Shotgun Barrel components.

Upgrading at the Smithing Table

Transforming the crude mechanical frame into a finished weapon requires a smithing table upgrade. In the smithing interface, insert:

Combining these reagents completes the transformation, granting 1 Pump-Charge Shotgun. The finished shotgun features durable netherite plating capable of withstanding extreme subterranean heat and blast pressures.

Manufacturing Blank and Standard Shells

Firing the shotgun requires manufactured shotgun shells. Ammunition production uses single vertical crafting columns:

Standard shells provide substantial spread damage capable of clearing out clustered swarms of baby piglins, wither skeletons, and flying nether mobs.

Crafting Phasmo and Slug Specialty Shells

Standard cartridges can be modified with elemental powders to produce specialized combat rounds:
