Crafting Emerald, Diamond, Jade, and Tanzanite Jewelry
This guide covers the basic recipes for crafting rings and necklaces using emeralds, diamonds, jade, and tanzanite in the Jewelry (RPG Series) mod.
Rings and Necklaces Overview
All jewelry in this mod is crafted with a shaped recipe that combines a central gemstone with gold ingots. Necklaces also require a piece of string, while rings do not. The four gemstones used here are emerald, diamond, jade, and tanzanite. Each gemstone can be made into either a ring or a necklace, giving you eight total craftable items.
Emerald Jewelry
- Place
String in the top center slot. - Place a
Gold Ingot in the middle center slot. - Place an
Emerald in the bottom center slot. - This shaped pattern produces one
Emerald Necklace.
Diamond Jewelry
- Place a
Diamond in the center slot. - Surround it with
Gold Ingots in the three remaining slots of a 2x2 or 3x3 grid, specifically using three gold ingots total. - The exact arrangement is: diamond in the middle, with gold ingots filling three adjacent positions (for example, top-left, top-right, and bottom-left around the center).
- This yields one
Diamond Ring.
- Place
String in the top center slot. - Place a
Gold Ingot in the middle center slot. - Place a
Diamond in the bottom center slot. - This shaped pattern produces one
Diamond Necklace.
Jade Jewelry
- Place a
Jade gemstone in the center slot. - Add
Gold Ingots in three surrounding positions, matching the same layout used for the Diamond Ring. - This yields one
Jade Ring.
- Place
String in the top center slot. - Place a
Gold Ingot in the middle center slot. - Place a
Jade gemstone in the bottom center slot. - This shaped pattern produces one
Jade Necklace.
Tanzanite Jewelry
- Place a
Tanzanite gemstone in the center slot. - Add
Gold Ingots in three surrounding positions, again following the ring layout. - This yields one
Tanzanite Ring.
Note that there is no tanzanite necklace recipe listed among these facts. Only the tanzanite ring is available from the tanzanite gemstone.
Crafting Layout Tips
For all necklaces, the recipe is always a vertical line: string at the top, gold ingot in the middle, and the gemstone at the bottom. This is consistent across emerald, diamond, and jade.
For all rings, the recipe is always the gemstone in the center with three gold ingots arranged around it. The exact three positions are not specified beyond needing three gold ingots total, so you should arrange them in a way that forms a ring-like shape around the gemstone, such as filling the top-left, top-right, and bottom-center slots in a 3x3 grid.
Because these are shaped recipes, the positions of items matter. You cannot simply throw the ingredients into a crafting grid in any order. Follow the vertical line for necklaces and the center-plus-three-ingots pattern for rings.
Final Notes
You will need a steady supply of gold ingots, as every single recipe consumes at least one, and rings consume three each. String is only required for necklaces. The gemstones themselves are not consumed in any recipe other than as the central component, so you will need one gemstone per item crafted. There are no alternate recipes or ingredient substitutions mentioned here, so stick to the exact items listed.
