Finding Every JCRAFT Structure and the Devil's Palm Biome

guide

This guide explains how to locate and explore all JCRAFT structures and the Devil's Palm biome. Each structure generates in specific patterns, so knowing the spacing and search strategy will save you time.

The Devil's Palm

The Devil's Palm is a hot biome with a temperature of 3.0. It never rains there, so you will not have to deal with storms or wet ground while exploring. This extreme heat makes it visually distinct from most other biomes. If you are looking for a specific structure, this biome is often the first place to check, as several key structures generate within its borders.

Structure Spacing and Search Tips

Every structure in JCRAFT uses a region-based placement system. The game makes one attempt to place the structure within each region of a set size, and it enforces a minimum distance between any two instances. This means structures are never right next to each other, but they are also not impossibly rare. When searching, travel in straight lines and cover large areas systematically. Use the biome's borders as a guide, and remember that you may need to cross into neighboring biomes to find all of them.

Anubis Temple

The Anubis Temple generates in the `#jcraft:has_structure/anubis_temple` tag. The game attempts to place one temple per 34x34 chunk region, and any two temples must be at least 8 chunks apart. This is a moderately common structure. When you find one, explore the interior carefully, as the temple's layout is designed to hide its central chamber.

Arrow Ruin

The Arrow Ruin generates in the `#jcraft:has_structure/arrow_ruin` tag. Placement is one attempt per 36x36 chunk region, with a minimum distance of 10 chunks between ruins. This is the most spread-out structure in the mod, so it may take longer to find than others. The ruin is usually partially buried, so look for exposed stone or arrow-shaped decorations on the surface.

Cinderella

The Cinderella structure generates in the `#jcraft:has_structure/cinderella` tag. It uses the same placement rules as the Anubis Temple: one attempt per 34x34 chunk region, with at least 8 chunks between instances. This structure is often found near the Devil's Palm. Its exterior is distinctive, but the interior contains the important functional blocks, so do not just look at the outside.

Meteorite Land

The Meteorite Land generates in the `#jcraft:has_structure/meteorite_land` tag. Placement is one attempt per 17x17 chunk region, making it the most frequent structure in the mod. The minimum distance between two Meteorite Lands is only 6 chunks. Because it is so common, you will likely stumble upon it without a dedicated search. Look for a large crater or a patch of dark, scorched ground.

Meteorite Ocean

The Meteorite Ocean generates in the `#jcraft:has_structure/meteorite_ocean` tag. The game attempts one placement per 18x18 chunk region, with a minimum distance of 7 chunks. This structure is nearly as common as Meteorite Land. As the name suggests, it appears in or near ocean biomes. Search coastlines and shallow waters. The structure may be partially submerged, so check below the waterline as well as above.

Final Exploration Checklist

  • Start with Meteorite Land – it is the most common and easiest to find.
  • Then look for Meteorite Ocean – check all nearby coastlines.
  • Move to Anubis Temple and Cinderella – they share the same spacing, so if you find one, the other is likely within a similar distance.
  • Save Arrow Ruin for last – it has the largest region size and the biggest minimum gap, so it takes the most ground to cover.
  • Always carry enough blocks and food – the Devil's Palm is hot and empty, and you may travel thousands of blocks before finding every structure.
