Full DNA Pipeline in Jurassic Reborn: From Fossil to Living Dinosaur
The full DNA pipeline in Jurassic Reborn turns encased fossils into living dinosaurs through five machine-driven stages: cleaning, digitizing, analyzing, assembling, and incubating. Each stage depends on the one before it, so you cannot skip ahead. This guide covers the machines involved, how to craft them, and what each one does.
Stage 1: Cleaning Fossils
Raw fossils arrive encased in rock. The
Fossil Cleaner is the machine that frees the bone inside. Craft it with a shaped recipe: three
Iron Ingots, two
Redstone Dust, one
Glass Pane, two Blocks of Iron, and one
Bucket.
The cleaning step is driven by the Cleaning Recipe Serializer, which holds 93 recipes. Each recipe maps one encased fossil to one bone output. A few examples show the pattern:
Encased Achillobator Fossil becomes
bones/achillobator_skull
Encased Allosaurus Fossil becomes
bones/allosaurus_skull
Encased Ankylosaurus Fossil becomes
bones/ankylosaurus_skull
Encased Apatosaurus Fossil becomes
bones/apatosaurus_skull
Encased Baryonyx Fossil becomes
bones/baryonyx_skull
Encased Brachiosaurus Fossil becomes
bones/brachiosaurus_skull
Encased Carnotaurus Fossil becomes
bones/carnotaurus_skull
Encased Ceratosaurus Fossil becomes
bones/ceratosaurus_skull
Encased Compsognathus Fossil becomes
bones/compsognathus_skull
Encased Corythosaurus Fossil becomes
bones/corythosaurus_skull
Encased Deinosuchus Fossil becomes
bones/deinosuchus_skull
The same pattern applies across the full set of 93 recipes, covering creatures such as Alligator gar, Alvarezsaurus, Arsinoitherium, Beelzebufo, Camarasaurus, Carcharodontosaurus, Cearadactylus, Chasmosaurus, Chilesaurus, Coelacanth, Coelurus, Crassigyrinus, and Deinotherium. Cleaning is the only stage that consumes an encased fossil and produces a bone.
Stage 2: Digitizing the Bone
Once you have a bone, the
DNA Digitizer converts it into digital form. Craft it with four
Iron Ingots, one
DNA Analyzer, one
Computer Screen, one
Disc Drive, one
Glass Pane, and one
Keyboard.
Note that the
DNA Analyzer is itself an ingredient in the
DNA Digitizer recipe, so you need to build the analyzer first even though analyzing comes later in the pipeline. Plan your crafting order accordingly.
Stage 3: Analyzing the DNA
The
DNA Analyzer is the machine that examines genetic material. Craft it with six
Iron Nuggets from the forge:nuggets/iron tag, one
Glass, one
Advanced Circuit, and one
Laser.
The analyzer requires an
Advanced Circuit and a
Laser, both of which are more demanding components than the basic circuits used elsewhere in the pipeline. Gather those before you start crafting.
Stage 4: Assembling the Genome
The
DNA Assembler builds the usable genetic sequence. Craft it with two
Computer Screens, one
Basic Circuit, four
Iron Ingots, one
Disc Drive, and one
Keyboard.
The assembler uses a
Basic Circuit rather than an advanced one, and it needs two
Computer Screens instead of one. It also shares the
Disc Drive and
Keyboard components with the digitizer.
Stage 5: Incubating the Egg
The
Incubator is the final machine in the pipeline. Craft it with two
Glass, three
Iron Ingots, three
Redstone Comparators, and one
Keyboard.
The incubator is the only machine in the chain that uses
Redstone Comparators, and it needs three of them. It also requires a
Keyboard, matching the digitizer and assembler.
Crafting Order Summary
Because some machines are ingredients in others, a practical build order is:
- Build the
DNA Analyzer first, since the
DNA Digitizer recipe requires it. - Build the
Fossil Cleaner to process encased fossils into bones. - Build the
DNA Digitizer using the analyzer you already made. - Build the
DNA Assembler. - Build the
Incubator last.
Every machine in the pipeline uses
Iron Ingots in some form, and three of the five machines require a
Keyboard. Stock up on both before you begin crafting.
