Brewing Tea with the Teapot in Kaleidoscope Cookery
Brewing tea in the teapot in Kaleidoscope Cookery requires heating water in a dedicated copper pot, adding specialized botanical ingredients, and pouring the brew into craftable teacups. The beverage system introduces traditional brewing mechanics alongside restorative drink varieties that complement the mod's meal options.
Crafting the Teapot and Empty Teacups
To begin tea preparation, craft the
Teapot using six
Copper Ingot pieces and one
Bucket arranged on a standard crafting table. Place the bucket in the exact center slot, one copper ingot directly above it in the top middle slot, two copper ingots flanking it on the left and right middle slots, and three copper ingots filling the entire bottom row.
Serving the tea requires cups. An
Empty Teacup is crafted by placing a single
Flower Pot into any crafting grid. Each flower pot converts directly into an empty teacup, allowing you to prepare multiple cups for your tea sessions.
Setting Up and Heating the Teapot
Place the
Teapot directly on top of an active heat source. Suitable heat sources such as lit campfires, stoves, or burning fire blocks allow the vessel to boil. Right-click the teapot with a water bucket to fill the internal water reservoir. Once the pot is placed over active heat and supplied with water, steam particles indicate the water has reached boiling temperature.
Tea Varieties and Infusion Recipes
Kaleidoscope Cookery features six distinct tea recipes brewed directly inside the teapot:
Barley Tea: Brewed by placing
Wheat Seeds into the boiling teapot. This simple, rustic grain tea provides everyday refreshment.
Biluochun: An exquisite green tea crafted by infusing a
Nautilus Shell inside the hot water.
Flower Tea: Brewed using vibrant blossoms. You can place flowers such as
Dandelion,
Poppy,
Blue Orchid,
Allium,
Azure Bluet, or
Cornflower into the pot to produce a fragrant infusion.
Oolong: A rich, complex brew created by adding
Dragon's Breath into the steaming pot.
Sakura Fubuki: A delicate floral tea made by infusing
Pink Petals directly in the teapot.
Tieguanyin: A traditional oolong variant crafted by boiling an
Iron Nugget in the vessel.
Serving and Consuming Tea
Once brewing finishes, right-click the
Teapot with an empty hand to pick it up, place an
Empty Teacup block down on a surface, and right-click the cup with the Teapot in hand to pour the tea. Drinking hot tea provides restorative nourishment and distinctive utility effects depending on the chosen blend, making tea brewing an efficient support system for farming, building, and exploration.
