Kaleidoscope Tavern: Barrel, Shaker and Pressing Tub
Kaleidoscope Tavern adds drinks and the equipment to make them. This guide covers its three bespoke stations and how they divide the work.
Three stations, three jobs
Barrel — 24 recipes, the largest
Shaker — 12 recipes
Pressing Tub — 6 recipes
Forty-two recipes across three blocks, each clearly doing a different job: the tub presses, the barrel ages or ferments, and the shaker mixes. The sizes suggest the workflow — press a few base liquids, age most of them, shake a smaller set into finished drinks.
Crafting is the block set
114 crafting recipes against 42 station recipes. With 72 blocks and 70 items, most of that crafting list is the tavern furniture rather than anything drinkable.
That is the shape of the mod: a broad themed building set with a compact production chain inside it.
Both builds are identical
Every category carries the same count on 1.21.1 and 1.20.1, both at version 1.2.0 — NeoForge on the newer line, Forge on the older. There is no version decision to make and no category to check.
An even split
142 pages across 72 blocks and 70 items. Almost exactly balanced, which fits a mod where each drink is an item and each piece of the tavern is a block.
No worldgen
The mod generates no structures. You build a tavern rather than find one, so nothing here is gated behind exploration.
Where to start
Build the barrel. At 24 recipes it holds more than the shaker and tub combined, and it is the station most of the mod's output passes through.
The pressing tub at 6 recipes is small enough to be easy to overlook, but it sits upstream — if a barrel recipe is missing an ingredient, the tub is the likely source.
What to expect
A tavern kit: 114 crafting recipes of furniture and fittings wrapped around a 42-recipe drinks chain, with no progression, no dependency and no exploration.
The full recipe list
Crafting 114, barrel 24, shaker 12, pressing tub 6 — 156 recipes, identical on both builds. Roughly one recipe per page across 142 pages, so nothing here is a drop or an unlisted secret; the recipe list is the whole mod.
Self-contained, unlike most drink mods
All three stations use recipe types the mod defines itself rather than borrowing Farmer's Delight's cooking pot or cutting board. That means nothing goes inert if you run Kaleidoscope Tavern alone — a useful property, and not the norm among food and drink addons on this wiki.
