Palm Wood Building Blocks and Their Crafting Recipes

guide

Palm wood building blocks give you a full set of construction pieces to work with, and every one of them starts from a Palm Log. Once you have logs in hand, you can break them down into planks and then branch out into the rest of the palm family. Below is each block and the exact recipe that produces it.

Starting With Planks

Everything in the palm building set traces back to Palm Planks, so this is the first thing to make.

Because the recipe is shapeless, the position of the log in the crafting grid does not matter. One log in, planks out.

Bark Blocks: Palm Wood and Stripped Palm Wood

If you want the full log texture on all sides rather than planks, you have two options, and both use a shaped recipe with four logs arranged together.

These two blocks let you build with the bark appearance instead of a plank face. The only difference between them is which log you feed into the recipe — regular logs for Palm Wood, stripped logs for Stripped Palm Wood.

Stairs and Slabs

Once you have Palm Planks, you can shape them into the two standard building forms for floors, roofs, and detail work.

Stairs give you a stepped block for slopes and corners, while slabs give you a half-height block. Both are made purely from planks, so no other material is needed.

Fences

Fences are the one palm block in this set that asks for something beyond planks.

The planks supply the main body of the fence, and the sticks are the extra ingredient that completes the recipe. Gather both before you start crafting.

Planning Your Materials

A quick way to think about the whole set is that logs feed everything. Logs become planks, planks become stairs, slabs, and fences, and logs themselves can also be packed into Palm Wood or Stripped Palm Wood for bark-textured builds.

If you are gathering for a project, keep in mind what each recipe consumes:

Notes on Crafting

The plank recipe is the odd one out because it is shapeless — drop the log anywhere in the grid and it works. Every other recipe listed here is shaped, meaning the arrangement of ingredients in the crafting grid matters. Keep that distinction in mind so you do not waste materials laying out a shapeless recipe as if it were shaped, or the reverse.

With planks, bark blocks, stairs, slabs, and fences all covered, you have the complete palm wood building palette and the recipe for each piece.
