This guide covers all dark cherry wood variants, from logs to full furniture sets, in the Let's Do Vinery mod. Dark cherry is a distinct timber type with its own crafting chain, starting from raw logs and expanding into planks, building blocks, and functional doors.
Logs and Wood Blocks
The foundation of the dark cherry line is the 
Dark Cherry Log. You can turn four Dark Cherry Logs into one 
Dark Cherry Wood block using a shaped crafting recipe that places the logs in a 2x2 square. This wood block is the bark-covered version, useful for builds where you want a uniform exterior without visible log ends.
All four base materials—Dark Cherry Log, 
Stripped Dark Cherry Log, Dark Cherry Wood, and 
Stripped Dark Cherry Wood—can each be converted into 
Dark Cherry Planks. Each conversion is a shapeless recipe, meaning you simply place the single log or wood item anywhere in the crafting grid. This gives you flexibility: whether you have stripped or unstripped, log or wood, the result is always the same set of planks.
Planks and Core Building Blocks
Dark Cherry Planks are the central material for most furniture and structural pieces. They have a rich, dark tone that suits both interior paneling and exterior cladding. From planks, you can craft the following:
Dark Cherry Stairs: Place six Dark Cherry Planks in a shaped recipe (three in the bottom row, three in the middle row, offset to one side) to produce stairs for sloped transitions.
Dark Cherry Slab: Use three Dark Cherry Planks in a horizontal row to craft slabs, ideal for thin steps, countertops, or half-height walls.
Dark Cherry Door: Arrange six Dark Cherry Planks in two vertical columns (left and right, three rows high) to make a full-height door that matches the wood set.
These three items form the core of any dark cherry structure. The stairs and slab allow for smooth floor-to-floor movement, while the door provides a matching entrance. All recipes use the standard vanilla crafting grid, with no special tools or workstations required.
Building with the Full Set
To build a complete dark cherry structure, start with logs for the main supports or frame. If you prefer a cleaner look, strip the logs first, or use Dark Cherry Wood for a seamless bark surface. Convert any excess logs or wood into planks for walls, floors, and ceilings. Use Dark Cherry Stairs for staircases, roof edges, or decorative trim. Use Dark Cherry Slabs for window sills, half-walls, or to create a stepped roofline. Finish with the Dark Cherry Door as the functional entry point.
Because every recipe only requires the dark cherry materials themselves, you can produce the entire set from a single log source. There is no dependency on other mods or rare ingredients, so the crafting chain is straightforward: logs become wood or planks, and planks become stairs, slabs, and doors.

- Shapeless recipes for planks mean you can carry a single log type and convert it on the fly without worrying about grid orientation.
- The shaped recipes for wood, stairs, slabs, and doors follow the same patterns as vanilla oak or spruce equivalents, so if you know those, you already know these.
- Stripped versions of logs and wood are interchangeable with their unstripped counterparts for plank production, so no material goes to waste.
