Making Wine in Let's Do Vinery: From Apple Mash to Fermented Bottles

guide

Overview

This guide covers the full wine production process in the Let's Do Vinery mod, starting with raw apples and ending with a variety of fermented wines. The process has three main stages: mashing apples into mash, fermenting that mash into juice, and then using the juice in wine fermentation recipes.

Stage One: Apple Mashing

The first step is turning solid ingredients into mash or other base materials. The Apple Mashing process has two known recipes:

  • AppleApple Mash
  • Honeycomb BlockHoneycomb ×4

Apple Mash is the essential starting point for all apple-based wines. The honeycomb recipe is useful for producing honey bottles later, which appear in several wine recipes.

Stage Two: Apple Fermenting

Once you have Apple Mash, you need to ferment it further. The Apple Fermenting process also has two recipes:

Apple Juice is the direct precursor to Apple Wine. Honey Bottles are a common ingredient in many wine recipes, so producing a stockpile of honeycomb and converting it to honey bottles is a practical step.

Stage Three: Wine Fermentation

The Wine Fermentation process is where the actual wines are created. This process has 26 recipes in total. Some recipes take a single ingredient, while others require two or three combined ingredients. Here are the known recipes:

Practical Production Notes

To produce a full range of wines, you will need a steady supply of several base items: apples, sugar, honey bottles, cherries, sweet berries, and kelp. Some recipes share ingredients but produce different wines—for example, sugar alone can yield Cider, Clark Wine, or Red Wine depending on the recipe used. Similarly, Honey Bottle + Cherry produces both Bolvar Wine and Miss Lilitus Wine, so you may need to experiment with different fermentation conditions to get the specific output you want.

For the most complex wines, such as Jellie Wine, you first need to produce the component wines (Apple Wine, Chenet Wine, and Bolvar Wine) before you can blend them. Plan your production in stages: start with apple mash and juice, then make the basic wines, and finally combine them for the advanced blends.
