By utilizing the heat of specialized smelting apparatus and assembling corrupted crystalline shards, players can awaken the volcanic master of Stark Mountain and alter the physical alignment of Lugia into its shadow form.

The Stark Forge and Magma Stone

The Stark Forge is a specialized thermodynamic chamber designed for heavy metallurgical tempering. Operating as the only lava-fueled furnace capable of tempering the Magma Stone, it processes raw mineral cores recovered from volcanic deposits into active ritual catalysts.

To complete the forging process:

Obtain a Magmatic Cluster, an unrefined heat core that must regain its thermal intensity within the Stark Forge.
Place the Magmatic Cluster into the processing chamber of the Stark Forge.
The intense heat tempers the cluster, yielding one Magma Stone.

The resulting Magma Stone is formed from boulders melted in magma. Carrying this activated mineral to Stark Mountain in the Nether allows trainers to present it at the Heatran Altar, summoning Heatran from the depths of its subterranean caldera.

Crafting the Shadow Soul Stone

The Shadow Soul Stone is an occult talisman capable of transforming pure psychic and flying power into a corrupted shadow manifestation. Assembling the stone requires gathering dark crystalline remnants from corrupt events:

Eight Corrupted Shard fragments
One Shadow Heart

Place these materials upon a crafting table in a surrounding pattern:

Place Corrupted Shard items across all three slots of the top row.
Place one Corrupted Shard in the middle-left slot, the Shadow Heart in the center slot, and one Corrupted Shard in the middle-right slot.
Place Corrupted Shard items across all three slots of the bottom row.

This recipe consumes eight corrupted fragments and one heart to produce one Shadow Soul Stone.

Transforming Lugia into Shadow Form

The Shadow Soul Stone interacts directly with Lugia. Approaching the legendary sea guardian while holding the Shadow Soul Stone and interacting with the creature triggers the transformation sequence:

The stone releases dark energy, transforming Lugia into its formidable Shadow Form.
This alter-state alters the creature's visual appearance and aura, reflecting its corrupted nature.
If the trainer wishes to restore the creature to its original condition, right-clicking Lugia a second time with the Shadow Soul Stone reverts the process, cleansing the dark energy and returning it to standard form.
