Furnection: Getting Started with the Workstation and Tools
To begin with Furnection, you will need to craft a 
Workstation and its associated tools. Furnection introduces a variety of furniture items in a vanilla style, including sofas, tables, kitchen counters, and wardrobes. Many of these items are crafted using the Workstation.
Essential Tools
Before you can craft a Workstation, you must first create several tools. These are crafted in a standard crafting table.
Hammer
The 
Hammer is crafted from two 
Iron Nuggets, one 
Iron Ingot, and one 
Stick.
Wrench
The 
Wrench requires two Iron Ingots, one Iron Nugget, and one Stick.
Shears
To make 
Shears, combine two Iron Ingots, two Sticks, and one Iron Nugget.
Chisel
A 
Chisel is made with one Iron Ingot, one Iron Nugget, and one Stick.
The Workstation
The Workstation is the central crafting block for many Furnection items. Once you have all the necessary tools, you can craft the Workstation itself.
To craft a Workstation, combine a Hammer, a 
Crafting Table, a Wrench, Shears, a Chisel, and a 
Saw.
The Workstation offers a wide range of crafting possibilities, with 406 distinct recipes. Many furniture items are crafted using this block. For example, using an 
Acacia Furniture Pack at the Workstation allows you to create various acacia-themed items:

Acacia Leaves into two

Build the Workstation before anything else
Furnection's recipe distribution is lopsided by design: 406 recipes at the Workstation, 71 in a crafting grid, 67 through World Interaction, and 12 across the chopping and cutting boards.
Until the workstation exists, roughly five sixths of the mod is unavailable. Everything else in a first session should follow from that one build.
What you are getting
544 pages, 497 blocks, 47 items. The item list is small because almost nothing here is carried — this is a mod for furnishing rooms.

- Workstation — the main catalogue
- World Interaction — pieces made by acting on placed blocks rather than at a bench
- Crafting grid — the workstation itself and a modest set of basics
Knowing which of the three a piece belongs to is most of the learning curve.
Version parity
Both builds are 1.0.9 with identical counts, so nothing about this mod changes between 1.21.1 and 1.20.1.
