MC Dungeons Enchanting: Three Blocks, Four Recipes
MC Dungeons Enchanting replaces vanilla enchanting with the Minecraft Dungeons system. This guide covers what it registers.
Blocks only
3 pages, 3 blocks, no items at all, with 4 crafting recipes — identical on both builds.
A mod with blocks and no items is unusual. It means everything here is a station you place and use rather than anything you carry, which fits an enchanting overhaul: the change is to the process, not to your inventory.
Four recipes for three blocks
More recipes than blocks usually means one block has two routes, or a recipe produces something consumed in the process. Either way, four is a short enough list to read in full before deciding to install.
What it actually changes
The Minecraft Dungeons enchanting model differs from vanilla in a fundamental way: rather than rolling random enchantments from a pool at a cost of levels and lapis, you choose from a limited set of offered options and upgrade them.
That is a behavioural change, which is why a three-block mod can alter a whole progression system. None of it shows up in a registry count.
Both builds are Fabric
1.6.4-1.21 for 1.21.1 and 1.6.4-1.20 for 1.20.1, both on Fabric, both with the same four recipes.
The loader is the real constraint here: a Forge or NeoForge pack cannot use this mod on either Minecraft line.
No structures, no dependency
Nothing generates in the world and no partner mod is required.
Where to start
Build the enchanting blocks and use them instead of the vanilla table. Because the mod replaces a system rather than adding one, there is nothing to unlock — the change applies as soon as the blocks exist.
Before installing
Consider whether anything else in your pack depends on vanilla enchanting behaviour. A mod that changes how enchantments are obtained can interact awkwardly with mods that add their own enchantments or their own enchanting stations.
Why blocks and no items is meaningful
A registry of three blocks and zero items says the mod is entirely stations. Nothing is carried, nothing is consumed from your inventory beyond what the enchanting process itself takes, and there is no gear to collect.
For a system-replacement mod that is the expected shape — the change lives in the interaction, not in the loot.
Scale
3 pages, 3 blocks, 0 items, 0 structures, 4 crafting recipes, identical on both builds at 1.6.4, Fabric on each Minecraft line.
The loader is the real gate
Fabric-only on both 1.21.1 and 1.20.1 means a Forge or NeoForge pack cannot use this mod at all — worth confirming before planning an enchanting overhaul around it.
