Medieval Buildings: Five Rare Structures
Medieval Buildings adds standalone medieval structures to world generation. This guide covers what generates and how rare each one is.
A pure worldgen mod
Zero items, zero blocks, zero recipes. The mod is 5 structures and nothing else, so nothing here is crafted and a recipe lookup returns nothing by design.
Four builds share the rarest tier
- Fort — spacing 105, separation 77
- House 1 — spacing 105, separation 77
- House 2 — spacing 105, separation 77
- Tower — spacing 105, separation 77
- Ship — spacing 90, separation 50
A spacing of 105 puts four of the five among the rarest structures on this wiki. For comparison, most mods place their headline build between 40 and 60.
The separations are what make these genuinely scarce
A separation of 77 against a spacing of 105 is very high — nearly three quarters. That combination forces the structures almost onto an even grid: they are far apart and, crucially, cannot cluster to make up for it.
So finding one Fort tells you almost nothing about where the next building is, and there is no region that happens to be dense with them.
The Ship at 90 and 50 is marginally more common and slightly more willing to cluster.
Four of five are interchangeable in rarity
Because Fort, both Houses and the Tower share exact settings, which one you meet first is pure chance. There is no intended order and no progression between them.
Both builds carry the same five
The versions are 1.1.1 on NeoForge (1.21.1) and 1.1.3 on Forge (1.20.1) — note the older line is a patch ahead — but both generate the same structure set.
What to expect
Five hand-built medieval structures scattered thinly across the world. There is no loot system, no items and no progression documented in the mod's data; the buildings are the content.
Given the spacing, treat these as landmarks you stumble on during long-distance travel rather than as anything you can reliably seek out.
Why high separation is the real scarcity lever
Spacing sets the average distance between attempts; separation sets the minimum. When separation is close to spacing — 77 against 105 here — the generator has almost no freedom, and structures land close to evenly spread.
The consequence for a player is specific: there is no lucky region. With low separation you can find two Forts near each other and clear both in one trip; at 77 you cannot, and every one of these buildings is its own journey.
Scale
0 pages, 0 items, 0 blocks, 0 recipes, 5 structures. Versions 1.1.1 (NeoForge, 1.21.1) and 1.1.3 (Forge, 1.20.1) — the older Minecraft line carries the later patch.
