MITE Equilibrium Armor Sets, Special Items, and Combat Mechanics
This guide covers the major armor sets, unique special items, and the combat rules tied to them in MITE:Equilibrium.
Armor Sets and Combat Effects
Armor in MITE:Equilibrium is not just about raw defense. Once your total armor points reach 10 or more, you automatically receive a permanent Resistance I effect. This means that reaching that threshold changes how much damage you absorb from all sources, making it a key early goal.
The first metal armor you can pursue is the Copper Armor set. To unlock its full benefit, you must craft all four pieces: the
Copper Helmet,
Copper Chestplate,
Copper Leggings, and
Copper Boots. The helmet requires 5 Copper Ingots in a shaped pattern, while the chestplate needs 8 Copper Ingots. Once you have completed the entire set, you gain the Resistance I effect as described above. Additionally, crafting the full set rewards you with 100 XP, giving you a solid head start in progression.
Beyond copper lies the Mithril Armor set, which is significantly more powerful. The
Mithril Helmet and
Mithril Chestplate are crafted first, followed by the
Mithril Leggings (7 Mithril Ingots) and
Mithril Boots (4 Mithril Ingots). A crucial restriction applies here: every piece of this set must be assembled on a
Mithril Crafting Table or any table of higher tier. You cannot use a standard crafting table for these recipes. The
Mithril Chestplate has a special property—it doubles your natural health regeneration speed, meaning your wounds close much faster over time. When you wear the complete Mithril set, you gain a state of near invulnerability, making you exceptionally durable in combat.
There is also a special armor piece that is not crafted at all. It is dropped by Longdead creatures. You cannot make it through any recipe. However, you can uncraft this item into
Ancient Metal Nuggets. Collect enough nuggets to form ingots, and those ingots are required to craft the Diamond Crafting Table. This makes hunting Longdead a necessary step for advancing your crafting capabilities.
Special Items
Several items in MITE:Equilibrium have been altered from their standard behavior and now grant unique abilities. These are not simple tools—they are game-changers in specific situations.
The most important of these is the
Adamantium Pickaxe. It is the sole tool in the game that can destroy Ender Crystals. Without this pickaxe, you have no way to break those crystals, which means you cannot defeat the Ender Dragon in its lair. To craft it, you must use a Netherite Crafting Table. This pickaxe is a mandatory item for any player attempting endgame boss fights.
Another special item is designed for mobility. When you right-click with it, you receive a temporary speed boost. While its intended primary function is for farming, the speed effect makes it an outstanding tool for exploration. You can cross difficult terrain quickly and maintain a swift, composed pace without needing to switch to other movement methods.
A third special item provides utility for navigation. Right-clicking this item displays your current coordinates on screen. This is invaluable for marking locations, returning to bases, or simply understanding your position in the world.
Combat and Progression Notes
The interaction between armor sets and these special items defines your combat strategy. Early on, focus on reaching 10 armor points with copper gear to activate Resistance I. Later, transition to mithril for the regeneration boost and near-invulnerability, but remember the crafting table requirement. Always keep the
Adamantium Pickaxe ready if you plan to fight the Ender Dragon, and use the speed and coordinate items to control your engagements and movement. Learning about these weapons, special items, and the creatures that drop them is essential for mastering the mod’s combat loop.
