MITE Equilibrium World, Mobs, and Progression Guide
World Generation and Dimensions
The Overworld in MITE:Equilibrium uses the Classic Overworld terrain generator by default, which changes the landscape compared to standard Minecraft. Ore placement is heavily altered, so resource gathering requires careful exploration. Some materials are only obtainable in other dimensions.
Copper appears at shallow depths in patterns similar to vanilla Minecraft, and smelting copper ingots gives you your first metal tier. Silver is found at medium depths. Mithril is a rare deep ore that needs an Iron Pickaxe to mine and an Obsidian Furnace to smelt. Adamantium is the scarcest deep ore, requiring a Mithril Pickaxe and a Netherrack Furnace for processing.
A new dimension, the Underworld, is reached by building a portal at the very bottom of the Overworld. It is 384 blocks tall, has a fixed biome, a ceiling, and no rain. You cannot sleep there, and hostile mobs spawn in large numbers. Entering grants 200 XP and 3 Blocks of Iron. The Underworld is resource-dense: copper is abundant, mithril sometimes appears on the surface, adamantium is plentiful at y=-50, and iron, gold, diamond, redstone, lapis lazuli, and silver are all present.
To reach the Nether, travel to the Underworld’s lowest layer. Dig straight down from your position, widening sideways if you hit bedrock, until you reach a lava sea at y=-60. Build and activate a portal there to enter the Nether. This journey rewards 500 XP and 3 Blocks of Iron. In the Nether, Ancient Debris allows Netherite crafting, and Piglin Bastion treasure rooms hold rare loot.
Creatures and Enemies
MITE:Equilibrium adds many new monsters, each with distinct behaviors and weaknesses. Silver weapons deal extra damage to undead and grant Regeneration II for five seconds after a kill. Hammers deal 1.5x damage to skeletons, and these bonuses stack multiplicatively.
The Longdead is a skeleton that spawns only in the Underworld and drops Ancient Metal Chainmail Armor, the main source of Ancient Metal. It appears in two forms: ranged, which keeps distance with a bow, and melee, which approaches with an iron short sword.
A stronger skeleton variant, also Underworld-only, switches between bow attacks at range and melee up close. With a Mithril Sword, it has extreme reach and damage; with a Mithril Hammer, it stuns and slows you. When it spots you, it summons four enhanced Longdead.
Other threats include the Wight, a white undead that drains XP on hit; the Ghoul, which applies Slowness; the Shadow, a black ghoul that extinguishes torches; the Invisible Stalker, which is nearly silent and causes Blindness; and the Revenant, a powerful zombie. A corrosive creature that only appears in the Underworld rapidly degrades your iron gear.
Core Progression System
Progression is strictly tiered. You cannot craft higher-tier items on lower-tier workbenches, and every recipe has a crafting time delay. Start with the Flint Crafting Table, made in your 2x2 inventory. From there, build the Copper or Silver Crafting Table on the Flint table. The Iron Crafting Table requires the Copper or Silver table. The Mithril Crafting Table needs at least the Iron table, but its second crafting method uses Silver and Iron tables. The Vanilla Crafting Table is built on the Adamantium table and unlocks the Crafter, which removes crafting delays entirely.
Tier restrictions also apply to mining and smelting. An Iron Pickaxe cannot break diamond ore, yet crafting a Mithril table requires a diamond—so find another way to obtain one. Furnaces follow the same logic: the Clay Furnace is basic, the Cobblestone Furnace needs coal, the Obsidian Furnace requires lava and is essential for mithril, and the Netherrack Furnace, powered by Blaze Rods, smelts adamantium at high speed. If a block never progresses when mined, use a higher-tier tool.
Advanced Mechanics
Three unique enchantments exist: Reaching (Level 2) on Buckets extends block interaction range, Extending (Level 3) on Swords increases melee reach, and Speed (Level 5) on Leather Boots boosts movement.
The Phytonutrient system tracks dietary variety. Eating only one food type causes Malnutrition. Beef Soup, Vegetable Soup, Salad, and Mashed Potato Pumpkin Soup provide dietary fiber; Chocolate accumulates sugar; Cheese is also available. Crops can catch blight, curable with bone meal, and Manure—produced by livestock—protects and speeds growth. Onion is a new four-stage crop found only in loot chests.
Moon phases matter. BloodMoon prevents sleep, spawns monsters near you, and gives them Strength, possibly with thunderstorms. BlueMoon stops all monster spawns. Harvest Moon boosts crops. FullMoon prevents sleep and strengthens monsters. New Moon weakens and slows nearby mobs. Halo Moon is purely atmospheric.
Gamerules let you toggle crafting time and tier gating, MITE-style mining speed, crop disease, and phytonutrients. World options include Desolation (no villages), Extinction (no animals), Blight (no crop growth), Rainy Season (longer rain), Universal Aggro (Piglins and Endermen attack always), and SL Punishment (save/load costs health).
