Using the PC IV Display, Colored IVs, Multi-Select, and Box View in MoreCobblemonTweaks
MoreCobblemonTweaks adds several quality-of-life tools to the PC menu, and this guide covers the IV display, colored IVs, multi-select, and box view buttons.
IV Display
The IV Display option places a compact widget inside the PC menu. When you preview a Pokémon in the PC, this widget shows that Pokémon's individual values. It is a quick readout rather than a separate screen, so you can check a Pokémon's stats without leaving the PC interface.
If the option is marked Overridden by Server, the server you are playing on has taken control of that setting, and your own toggle will not apply while you are connected there.
Colored IVs
Colored IVs changes how the numbers in the IV display appear. Instead of plain text, each IV is tinted to match the color of the power item associated with that stat. This makes it easier to scan a Pokémon's stats at a glance and spot which values stand out.
Colored IVs depends on the IV display being active. The Colored IVs setting requires IV Display to be enabled, so turn on the IV widget first if the coloring option is unavailable.
Multi-Select
Multi-Select adds a button to the PC. Pressing it lets you pick more than one Pokémon at a time, which is useful when you want to move a group of Pokémon between boxes or release several at once instead of handling them one by one.
While a multi-select action is in progress, the interface reports its status. A progress line shows how many Pokémon have been handled out of the total, in the form of a moving count. If the operation stalls, the mod reports how many times it has timed out and that it is retrying, and a final message appears when only the last attempt remains.
Box View
Box View adds another button to the PC. This button opens a view of a PC box, giving you a different way to look at the Pokémon stored there.
Egg Lore Options
Several settings relate to eggs and appear in the same configuration area. Enhanced Egg Lore adds descriptive text about the Pokémon inside an egg.
- Egg Encryption Warning: when Enhanced Egg Lore is on, this controls whether the lore warns you that an egg's data cannot be read because it is encrypted.
- Shiny Egg Indicator: when Enhanced Egg Lore is on, this shows whether an egg is shiny using a gold star.
- Perfect IV Egg Indicator: when Enhanced Egg Lore is on, this shows whether an egg has perfect IVs using an aqua triangle.
- Minimum IV Egg Indicator: when Enhanced Egg Lore is on, this shows whether an egg has all zero IVs using a red hazard triangle.
- Text Egg Indicators: when Enhanced Egg Lore is on and any of the above indicators apply, this renders them as words rather than symbols.
Each of these indicators depends on Enhanced Egg Lore being enabled. The lore also reports the number of egg cycles remaining.
If the mod repeatedly fails to read an egg's data, it warns you that it errored several times and suggests confirming the mod is current. If it is, the message recommends reporting the problem, and notes that you may want to turn off enhanced egg lore until it is resolved. A separate warning states that egg data cannot be read because of encryption.
Decrypting Encrypted Eggs
If an egg is encrypted, its data cannot be read. To handle this, turn off egg encryption in the cobbreeding configuration and then right-click the egg to decrypt it. On a server, the encryption setting must be disabled in the host's cobbreeding configuration, and you still right-click the egg to decrypt it.
A Note on Hotkeys
The buttons described above are operated through the PC interface itself. Where an action is bound to a key rather than a button, use the corresponding hotkey and set it in the controls menu.
