Mowzie's Mobs Structures: Where Each Boss Lives
Mowzie's Mobs structures determine where the mod's bosses appear, and each one uses its own placement rules. Four structures exist: the Frostmaw Spawn, the Monastery, the Umvuthana Grove, and the Wrought Chamber. Knowing how each generates helps you plan a search instead of wandering blindly.
Shared Generation Rules
Three of the four structures share identical generation behavior.
- The Frostmaw Spawn generates in the #mowziesmobs:has_structure/has_mowzie_structure biome tag.
- The Monastery generates in the same biome tag.
- The Umvuthana Grove generates in the same biome tag.
- All three place one attempt per 25x25 chunk region, with a minimum spacing of 8 chunks between them.
Because the biome tag is shared, any biome that accepts one of these structures accepts all three. The 25x25 chunk region and 8 chunk separation mean these three structures are spread out; you will not find them clustered together.
The Wrought Chamber
The Wrought Chamber follows different rules from the other three.
- It generates in the #mowziesmobs:has_structure/has_mowzie_structure biome tag.
- It places one attempt per 15x15 chunk region, with a minimum spacing of 5 chunks.
The smaller region and shorter spacing make the Wrought Chamber denser than the other structures. If you are hunting for it, you can cover ground faster, since attempts happen more often and closer together.
The Monastery's Spawning Effect
The Monastery does something the other structures do not: it overrides mob spawning for the monster category. In practice, that means the Monastery controls what hostile mobs appear inside it rather than leaving it to normal spawning rules. The other three structures have no such override listed.

Search Strategy
Start by confirming you are in a biome covered by the #mowziesmobs:has_structure/has_mowzie_structure tag, since all four structures depend on it. From there, expect the Frostmaw Spawn, Monastery, and Umvuthana Grove to be sparse, and the Wrought Chamber to turn up more often. The Monastery is worth noting separately because of its monster spawning override, which changes what you will meet inside compared to the other three.
