Forging Metallurgium Armor and Tools in Mythic Metals
Metallurgium represents the supreme alloy tier in Mythic Metals, forged by blending Hallowed Ingots, Palladium Ingots, and rare Overworld Unobtainium inside an Alloy Forgery. As an endgame material, it surpasses standard Netherite equipment in durability and combat effectiveness, serving as the ultimate upgrade path for late-game gear.
Forging Metallurgium Ingots in the Alloy Forgery
Metallurgium cannot be smelted inside a conventional blast furnace. Fabricating a single ingot requires an Alloy Forgery multiblock and high-tier alloy inputs:
- 1 Hallowed Ingot
- 1 Palladium Ingot
- 1 Unobtainium
Placing these three materials into the Alloy Forgery produces 1
Metallurgium Ingot. Players can also forge Metallurgium directly from unrefined raw ores in a single step using 1 Raw Adamantite, 1 Raw Mythril, 1 Raw Orichalcum, 1 Raw Palladium, and 1 Unobtainium, yielding 1 Metallurgium Ingot. Smelting 1 of each full ore block in the forgery doubles the output to 2 Metallurgium Ingots.
The prerequisite Hallowed Ingot is itself an advanced composite alloy. Forging 1 Hallowed Ingot in the Alloy Forgery requires 1 Adamantite Ingot, 1 Mythril Ingot, and 1 Orichalcum Ingot.
Locating Component Ores Across Dimensions
Gathering the components for Metallurgium requires deep exploration across both the Overworld and the Nether:
Unobtainium Ore: Found exclusively in deep Overworld stone and deepslate layers near bedrock.
Palladium Ore: Found exclusively in the Nether embedded within netherrack formations.
Adamantite Ore: Generates in deep Overworld rock in veins containing up to 5 blocks.
Mythril Ore: Found in the deep Overworld stone layers.
Orichalcum Ore: Generates in the deepest Overworld deepslate strata.
Upgrading Netherite Gear in the Smithing Table
Metallurgium armor and weapons are not crafted on a standard workbench. Instead, they transform existing Netherite equipment inside a vanilla smithing table:
- Left slot: 1
Smithing Template - Center slot: 1 Netherite equipment piece
- Right slot: 1
Metallurgium Ingot
This transform process applies across every primary equipment type:
- Netherite Helmet transforms into 1
Metallurgium Helmet - Netherite Chestplate transforms into 1
Metallurgium Chestplate - Netherite Leggings transform into 1
Metallurgium Leggings - Netherite Boots transforms into 1
Metallurgium Boots - Netherite Sword transforms into 1
Metallurgium Sword - Netherite Pickaxe transforms into 1
Metallurgium Pickaxe - Netherite Axe transforms into 1
Metallurgium Axe - Netherite Shovel transforms into 1
Metallurgium Shovel - Netherite Hoe transforms into 1
Metallurgium Hoe
Transformed gear preserves existing enchantments, allowing players to carry forward max-level protections.
Utility Blocks: Storage, Nuggets, and Anvils
Metallurgium ingots can be repurposed into functional storage and repair stations:
Block of Metallurgium: Crafted by filling all 9 slots of a crafting table with Metallurgium Ingots. Placing the block back into a crafting grid returns 9 ingots.
Metallurgium Nugget: Placing 1 Metallurgium Ingot into a crafting grid yields 9 Metallurgium Nuggets, while 9 nuggets craft back into 1 ingot.
Metallurgium Anvil: Crafted using 3 Blocks of Metallurgium across the top row, 1 Metallurgium Ingot in the center slot, and 3 Metallurgium Ingots across the bottom row. This anvil possesses exceptional resistance to damage compared to iron anvils.- Recycling: Damaged Metallurgium equipment can be smelted inside a blast furnace to recover 1 Metallurgium Nugget per item.
