Finding Key NPC Houses and Story Structures in Kimetsu no Yaiba
This guide covers the locations of key NPC houses and story-related structures in the Kimetsu no Yaiba mod, including where each one generates and how far apart you can expect to find them.
House Tamayo
House Tamayo appears in common temperate and warm biomes: plains, sunflower plains, birch forest, dark forest, flower forest, forest, windswept forest, jungle, savanna, savanna plateau, and taiga. The mod makes one generation attempt per 120x120 chunk region, and any two Tamayo houses will be at least 60 chunks apart. This means you may need to travel a fair distance, but the structure is not extremely rare.
House Tanjiro
House Tanjiro is exclusive to cold, snowy biomes: snowy slopes, snowy plains, and snowy taiga. It also generates with one attempt per 120x120 chunk region, with a minimum spacing of 60 chunks between houses. If you are exploring snowy mountain or tundra areas, keep an eye out for this structure on the surface.
House Ubuyashiki
House Ubuyashiki shares the same biome list as House Tamayo (plains, sunflower plains, birch forest, dark forest, flower forest, forest, windswept forest, jungle, savanna, savanna plateau, and taiga). However, it is much rarer: only one attempt per 320x320 chunk region, and houses are at least 160 chunks apart. This is one of the most difficult structures to locate, so expect a long search if you need to find it.
House Urokodaki
House Urokodaki does not generate in standard Minecraft biomes. Instead, it appears only in the mod's custom biome, `kimetsunoyaiba:mt_sagiri` (Mount Sagiri). Within that biome, the mod makes one attempt per 140x140 chunk region, with a minimum distance of 70 chunks between houses. Since this biome is specific to the mod, you will need to find Mount Sagiri first before looking for this house.
Mugen Train
The Mugen Train structure generates in the same set of common biomes as House Tamayo and House Ubuyashiki: plains, sunflower plains, birch forest, dark forest, flower forest, forest, windswept forest, jungle, savanna, savanna plateau, and taiga. It has one attempt per 160x160 chunk region, and each Mugen Train is at least 80 chunks apart. This is a mid-tier rarity structure, more common than Ubuyashiki's house but less common than Tamayo's.
Temple
The Temple is the most widespread structure in terms of biomes. It generates in all the biomes listed for House Tamayo, plus snowy plains and snowy taiga. That full list is: plains, snowy plains, sunflower plains, birch forest, dark forest, flower forest, forest, windswept forest, jungle, savanna, savanna plateau, snowy taiga, and taiga. The Temple has one attempt per 100x100 chunk region, with a minimum spacing of 50 chunks. This makes it the most frequent story-related structure in the mod, so you are most likely to stumble upon it during normal exploration.
General Search Tips
- If you are looking for a specific structure, first confirm you are in the correct biome type. Cold biomes only host House Tanjiro, while Mount Sagiri is required for House Urokodaki.
- Because structures are spaced far apart, traveling in a straight line and periodically checking your coordinates can help you avoid circling back over the same area.
- For the rarer structures like House Ubuyashiki, consider marking your exploration path with waypoints or building temporary markers, since the minimum distance of 160 chunks is very large.
- The Temple is your best bet for finding a story location quickly, given its smaller spacing and wider biome range.
