Oritech Unique Machines: Infusing, Binding, Refining, and Particle Collisions
Overview
This guide covers the four specialized Oritech machines that handle unique processing tasks: the Metallurgic Infusing, Soul Binding, Refining, and Particle Collision units. Each machine performs a distinct transformation, and together they produce advanced materials and components unavailable through standard smelting.
Metallurgic Infusing
The Metallurgic Infusing machine combines base materials to create specialized alloy dusts. It currently supports three known recipes, each yielding a different high-tier dust product. These outputs include
Adamant Dust,
Biosteel Dust, and
Electrum Dust. The exact inputs for each recipe are not standardized, so you will need to experiment with different material combinations to discover what the machine accepts for each target dust. The resulting dusts are then used in other Oritech processes, such as smelting into ingots or as components in particle collisions.
Soul Binding
The Soul Binding machine has three recipes, all of which use the
Dubious Container as the sole input. Feeding a
Dubious Container into this machine transforms it into an
Unholy Intelligence. All three known recipes follow this same pattern, suggesting that the machine may have multiple processing slots or that different container variants yield the same result. The
Unholy Intelligence is a key component for advanced crafting, but its further uses are not detailed here.
Refining
The Refining machine is the most versatile of the four, with twenty known recipes. It processes raw ores, common materials, and intermediate components into clumps, dusts, and refined sheets. Key outputs include:
- Metal clumps: Raw copper, gold, iron, nickel, platinum, lead, osmium, and tin ores each produce two clumps of their respective metal when refined.
- Special dusts: Raw zinc and aluminum ores yield two dusts each, while raw lead, silver, and tin can also be refined into dust forms.
- Processed materials:
Clay Catalyst Beads can be refined into several products, including
Nether Quartz.
Sand refines into Silicon x4. - Composite items:
Carbon Fibre Strands refine into a
Reinforced Carbon Sheet.
Enderic Compound also has a refining recipe, though its output is not specified here.
The Refining machine is essential for converting raw mined materials into usable forms for further crafting or smelting.
Particle Collision
The Particle Collision machine uses high-energy impacts to fuse or transform materials. It has eleven known recipes, many of which produce rare or end-game items. Notable transformations include:
Diamond: Combine two
Coal Dust.
Echo Shard: Collide an Ender Pearl with an Amethyst Gem.
Elytra: Collide a Feather with a
Saddle.
Enderic Compound: Combine
Redstone Dust with
Rotten Flesh.
Fluxite: Combine
Electrum Dust with
Redstone Dust.- Heavy Core: Collide
Reinforced Deepslate with
Duratium Dust.
Nether Star: Collide an
Overcharged Crystal with a
Netherite Ingot.
Netherite Scrap: Combine
Adamant Dust with
Netherrack.
Overcharged Crystal: Combine
Fluxite with
Energite Dust.
Platinum Dust: Combine two
Gold Dust.
Plutonium Dust: Combine
Uranium Dust with
Fluxite.
This machine is central to progression, as it creates the
Overcharged Crystal needed for
Nether Stars and produces the
Fluxite used in advanced nuclear and energy recipes.
Smelting Integration
While not one of the four unique machines, standard smelting completes the material cycle. Dusts and gems from the above processes can be smelted into ingots and nuggets. For example,
Adamant Dust smelts into an
Adamant Ingot,
Biosteel Dust into a
Biosteel Ingot, and
Electrum Dust into an
Electrum Ingot. Raw ores like nickel can also be smelted directly. Small dusts produce nuggets instead of full ingots. This integration allows you to turn the outputs of the Metallurgic Infusing and Refining machines into usable metal forms for crafting and building.
