Adjusting Tab Spacing, Last Tab Saving, and Background Fade in Paginated Advancements
This guide explains how to adjust tab spacing, control whether your last selected tab is remembered, and change the background fade behavior in Paginated Advancements & Custom Frames. All of these options live in the mod's config screen, which you open through the interface rather than through crafting.
Opening the config
The config screen is titled Paginated Advancements Config. Open it to reach the settings described below. Each setting is a labeled entry you can change directly in that screen.
Tab spacing
Two settings control how much room sits between your advancement tabs.
- SpacingBetweenHorizontalTabs — adjusts the gap between tabs laid out horizontally.
- SpacingBetweenPinnedTabs — adjusts the gap between tabs that are pinned.
Increase either value to spread tabs further apart, or decrease it to pack them more tightly. If you use pinned tabs, the pinned spacing value applies to those specifically, so you can give pinned tabs a different amount of breathing room than the rest.
Pinning and pinned tabs
Pinning keeps chosen advancement tabs in place so they stay easy to reach.
- PinningEnabled — turns the pinning feature on or off. With this disabled, tabs cannot be pinned.
- PinnedTabs — holds the list of pinned tabs. Each entry is identified by the root advancement identifier, so a pinned tab corresponds to the root of an advancement tree rather than a single advancement.
Saving and restoring your last tab
If you want the interface to reopen on the tab you were last viewing, use these two settings together.
- SaveLastSelectedTab — when enabled, the mod saves your current tab and restores it the next time you return.
- LastSelectedTab — stores the identifier of the tab that was selected most recently. This is the value the mod reads when restoring your position.
Turn SaveLastSelectedTab on to keep your place between visits. Turn it off if you would rather the interface always start from its default tab.
Background fade on hover
- FadeOutBackgroundOnAdvancementHover — when enabled, the background dims to a slight gray while your cursor is over an advancement. This makes the hovered advancement stand out against the tabs behind it. Disable it if you prefer the background to stay at full brightness during hover.
Display limits
- MaxCriterionEntries — sets the maximum number of advancement criterion entries shown. Lower it to keep long advancement lists compact, or raise it to see more entries at once.
Debug and identification tools
These options help when you need to identify a specific advancement.
- ShowAdvancementIDInDebugTooltip — shows the advancement's ID inside the debug tooltip.
- Show debug info on advancement hover — a control that displays debug information while hovering over an advancement. Trigger it with the corresponding hotkey, which you can set in the controls menu.
- copied to clipboard — a confirmation message that appears after an advancement ID has been copied. Use it to verify the ID was captured so you can paste it where needed, such as into the PinnedTabs list.
Scrolling through entries
When a list of advancements or criterion entries is longer than the space available, use [Scroll] more... to move through the remaining content. Scroll to reveal entries beyond what is currently shown.
