Bathtubs, Showers, Toilets, Sinks, and Light Fixtures for Bathroom Builds
Bathroom fixtures and lighting options in Paladin's Furniture Mod give builders several functional and decorative pieces to work with. This guide covers what each piece needs to be made and how it behaves once placed.
Bathtub
A bathtub requires quartz, a stone button, and a bucket to craft.
In practice it behaves much like a cauldron. You can pour in a water bucket or a water bottle to fill it, and it will also draw from a water source located one block beneath it. Standing water inside the tub serves several purposes: it strips dye from armor and shulker boxes, it puts out fire, and it sends a comparator signal. There is also a resting function tied to the time of day — you can sit in the tub during daylight hours, and once night falls you can sleep in it instead.
Shower
The shower comes in two parts, each with its own recipe.
- The handle is made from two levers, one redstone, and one iron ingot.
- The head is made from a water bucket, one redstone, and one iron ingot.
The shower is largely decorative. Right-clicking the head turns it on directly. You can also wire it to a handle: set the head down first, then right-click it while holding the handle. Once the handle is placed, the two pieces are linked and the handle controls the head.
Toilet
A toilet is crafted from quartz, a bucket, and a button.
Using it takes a few steps. Sit on the toilet first, then press the use keybind — U by default — to actually use it. When you are finished, get up, then shift-click the toilet with an empty hand to flush.
Water is required for the toilet to work. A water source positioned two blocks below the toilet will keep it supplied. Note the restriction on refilling: only that underground source or a water bottle will work, because a bucket holds too much water for this fixture.
Sink
The sink shares the toilet's water requirement. A water source two blocks underneath will feed it what it needs to function, and like the toilet it cannot be supplied with a bucket.
Light Fixtures
Light fixtures round out the set, letting you match your bathroom's illumination to the rest of the build. Place them wherever a room needs extra light or a decorative accent.
Putting It Together
Plan your water access before you build. Both the toilet and the sink depend on a water source sitting two blocks below them, so the layout of the floor matters as much as the fixtures themselves. The bathtub is more flexible, accepting a bucket, a bottle, or an underground source one block down.
For a compact setup, group the toilet and sink along one wall with the shared water supply beneath, then place the bathtub nearby where you can reach it easily for dye removal or a rest. Mount the shower against a wall and decide whether you want the head to run on its own or be controlled through a linked handle. Finish with light fixtures to brighten the space.
Each piece is simple on its own, but the small details — the keybind for the toilet, the shift-click flush, the handle linking for the shower, and the water source depth for the sink and toilet — are what make a bathroom build actually work.
