Pixelmon Crafting and the Infuser: Where the Recipes Are
With 1,449 items, Pixelmon's recipe list is the largest on this wiki. This guide covers how it is distributed and what changed between builds.
Six categories, and one dominates
- Crafting — 1,091 recipes on 1.21.1, 1,032 on 1.20.1
- Smelting — 55 and 31
- Blasting — 43 and 19
Infuser — 41 on 1.21.1, 102 on 1.20.1- Stonecutting — 20 on both
- Smithing Transform — 1 on both
Crafting carries roughly nine tenths of the mod. For a mod this size that is a deliberate choice: almost everything is reachable at a bench you already have rather than behind a machine you must build first.
The Infuser moved the opposite way to everything else
Every other category grew on 1.21.1 — smelting nearly doubled, blasting more than doubled. The Infuser did the reverse, falling from 102 recipes to 41.
That is the single largest content difference between the two builds, and it is worth checking before following a guide. Roughly sixty recipes that exist on the older line have no equivalent on the newer one.
Furnace work grew substantially
55 smelting and 43 blasting recipes on 1.21.1, against 31 and 19. Nearly half of the newer build's furnace recipes are new, so a 1.20.1 tutorial will understate how much of the mod passes through a furnace now.
The blast furnace nearly doubling matters practically: blasting is twice as fast as smelting for anything it accepts, so on the newer build there is far more reason to build one.
Stonecutting is almost absent
20 recipes against 791 blocks. In a mod with this many blocks that ratio tells you there is essentially no variant-conversion system — blocks are individual additions rather than a palette to cut between. If you are looking for a stone variant, this mod does not add one.
One smithing recipe
A single Smithing Transform recipe in a mod of 2,240 pages is a curiosity worth noting: whatever it makes is the only thing in Pixelmon that upgrades rather than being crafted outright.
Scale
2,240 pages across 1,449 items and 791 blocks, plus 93 structures. The item-to-block ratio of nearly two to one is what separates this from a building mod — almost everything here is carried.
Versions
9.4.0 on NeoForge for 1.21.1, 9.2.3 on Forge for 1.20.1.
