Reliquary Reincarnations Combat Gear Guide
Weapons for Direct Combat
The
Hunter's Handgun is a reliable ranged option that fires with a right click. After each shot, you must hold the right mouse button to reload before firing again. It serves as a straightforward projectile weapon for engaging enemies from a distance.
The
Magicbane is a melee weapon that grows more powerful with every enchantment you apply to it. This makes it a long-term investment: the more you improve it, the harder it hits. Additionally, wielding the Magicbane increases your chances of receiving Reliquary-specific drops from defeated foes, making it useful for farming rare materials.
For fighting the undead, the
Cross of Mercy deals bonus damage specifically against creatures like zombies and skeletons. Carry it as a secondary weapon when exploring dungeons or facing mob spawns heavy with undead enemies.
Staves for Elemental Control
The
Pyromancer's Staff offers several fire-based attacks. It can shoot blaze fireballs or ghast fireballs, and it also creates firebursts that spread flames across an area. Use it to light fires, control space, or damage groups of enemies caught in the blast. To switch between its different firing modes, hold the shift key and scroll your mouse wheel.
The
Glacial Staff provides the opposite element. It shoots snowballs that chill enemies on contact, slowing their movements. Its secondary effect freezes the ground beneath your feet as you walk, which can create icy patches that hinder pursuers. This makes it useful for kiting faster mobs or creating temporary barriers.
Armor and Protection
The
Angelic Feather is a defensive accessory rather than a full suit of armor. When equipped, it protects you from fall damage entirely, but this protection consumes hunger. Keep food on hand if you plan to use it for high drops or extended exploration in mountainous terrain. It is best used sparingly, as the hunger cost can become a problem during long fights or boss encounters.
Combat Strategy Notes
- Pair the
Cross of Mercy with your main weapon for undead-heavy areas, then switch back to a stronger general weapon for other mobs. - The
Magicbane rewards players who invest in enchanting. Build it up over time, and it will become your primary melee tool for both damage and drop farming. - The
Pyromancer's Staff excels at area denial. Use firebursts to block off corridors or force enemies to path around flames, giving you breathing room. - The
Glacial Staff works well for crowd control. Chill a fast enemy to slow it down, then finish it with a stronger weapon. - The
Angelic Feather is a safety net, not a primary armor piece. Equip it when you expect to fight in high places, but remove it when hunger management becomes a concern.
Boss Fight Preparation
When preparing for a boss encounter, consider your loadout carefully. Bring the
Hunter's Handgun for consistent ranged damage, but remember to reload between shots. If the boss is undead, the
Cross of Mercy will accelerate the fight. For bosses that summon minions, the
Pyromancer's Staff can clear groups quickly, while the
Glacial Staff can slow the boss itself if it is susceptible to chill. Finally, the
Angelic Feather protects against knockback-related falls, which are common in arena fights. Stock up on food to offset its hunger drain during prolonged battles.
