Pipes, Tanks, and Terminal Guide for Moving and Storing Matter in Replication
Pipes, tanks, and the terminal form the backbone of moving and storing matter in Replication. The
Matter Network Pipe carries matter between points, the
Matter Tank holds it, and the
Replication Terminal gives you a way to interact with the network. A fourth block,
Chip Storage, rounds out the set for keeping chips organized. Each one has a straightforward shaped recipe, so you can build the whole setup once you have the right materials on hand.
Crafting the Matter Network Pipe
The
Matter Network Pipe is your transport block. Its recipe is shaped and uses six glass panes, two
Replica Ingots, and one piece of redstone dust. The glass panes accept anything in the glass pane tag, so you are not locked to a single pane type. Because the recipe is shaped, the arrangement of ingredients in the grid matters, not just the total count.
Crafting the Matter Tank
The
Matter Tank is the storage block for matter. To make one, combine four
Replica Ingots with four glass blocks in a shaped recipe. As with the pipe, the glass blocks come from the glass block tag, giving you flexibility in which glass you use. Place tanks wherever you need capacity on your network.
Crafting the Replication Terminal
The
Replication Terminal is the interface block for the network. Its shaped recipe calls for six
Replica Ingots, two diamonds, and one glass pane. The glass pane again draws from the glass pane tag. With the terminal in place, you have a dedicated point for working with the matter your pipes and tanks handle.
Crafting Chip Storage
Chip Storage is a separate storage block for chips. Its shaped recipe combines two iron ingots, four
Replica Ingots, a wooden chest from the chests tag, and an iron trapdoor. The wooden chest ingredient accepts any chest in that tag, so the exact wood type is up to you.
Planning Your Materials
Looking across all four recipes,
Replica Ingots are the common thread. The pipe needs two, the tank needs four, the terminal needs six, and chip storage needs four. If you want to build one of each, that adds up to sixteen
Replica Ingots total, plus the other ingredients: glass panes for the pipe and terminal, glass blocks for the tank, redstone dust for the pipe, diamonds for the terminal, and iron ingots, a wooden chest, and an iron trapdoor for chip storage.
Building Order Suggestions
A practical order is to start with the
Matter Network Pipe and
Matter Tank, since those cover the basic jobs of moving and storing matter. Add the
Replication Terminal next so you have an interface for the network.
Chip Storage can come last or whenever you need a place for chips, since it stands apart from the pipe-tank-terminal trio.
Recipe Pattern Notes
All four recipes are shaped, meaning the position of each ingredient in the crafting grid is part of the recipe. Several ingredients use tags rather than specific items: glass panes, glass blocks, and wooden chests. That means you can substitute any item belonging to those tags and still craft the block. Keep the tag-based ingredients in mind when gathering materials, because it widens your options considerably compared to recipes that demand one exact item.
With these four blocks crafted, you have the core pieces for moving matter through pipes, storing it in tanks, and managing it through a terminal, along with dedicated chip storage.
