Configuring Modded Item Importing and Loot Table Blacklisting in Repurposed Structures

guide

Repurposed Structures can pull modded loot from vanilla structures into its own loot tables, and you can control this behavior through two settings. This guide explains what each setting does and how to use them.

Importing Modded Items

The Import Modded Items setting controls whether modded loot from vanilla structure loot tables is injected into Repurposed Structures loot tables. When enabled, items added by other mods to a vanilla structure's loot pool will also appear in the matching Repurposed Structures variant.

A concrete example: with this setting active, a Snowy Pyramid can contain all the modded items that a vanilla Desert Temple is able to have. The modded loot is copied over from the vanilla structure's loot table and added into the Repurposed Structures loot table that corresponds to it.

To turn this on or off, open the mod's configuration interface and locate the Import Modded Items option. Toggle it to your preferred state. If you want modded items to flow into Repurposed Structures loot, leave it enabled. If you prefer Repurposed Structures loot tables to stay untouched by other mods' additions, disable it.

This setting is global in effect — it applies to the automatic importing code across the mod's loot tables rather than to a single structure.

Blacklisting Specific Loot Tables

Even with importing enabled, you may want certain Repurposed Structures loot tables to stay free of imported modded items. The RS Loottables That Disables Importing Modded Items setting handles this. It accepts identifiers for the Repurposed Structures loot tables you want to exclude from the automatic modded item importing code.

To use it, open the configuration interface and find the RS Loottables That Disables Importing Modded Items field. Enter the identifier of each loot table you want to exempt. When you need more than one, separate the entries with a comma.

For example, you could enter an identifier for a birch mansion chest loot table alongside one for a jungle mineshaft chest loot table, separated by a comma, to stop modded items from being imported into both of those tables while leaving the rest of the mod's loot tables unaffected.

Each entry must be a valid Repurposed Structures loot table identifier. The setting targets the automatic importing code specifically, so listing a loot table here only disables modded item importing for that table — it does not change anything else about how the table works.

How the Two Settings Work Together

The Import Modded Items setting acts as the master switch. When it is on, modded loot from vanilla structures is injected into Repurposed Structures loot tables. The RS Loottables That Disables Importing Modded Items setting then acts as a per-table exception list. Any loot table you name there is skipped by the importing code, even while importing remains enabled everywhere else.

If importing is turned off entirely, the blacklist has nothing to act on. If importing is on, the blacklist lets you carve out exceptions for the specific loot tables you want to protect.

Quick Reference

  • Import Modded Items — enables or disables injection of modded loot from vanilla structure loot tables into Repurposed Structures loot tables.
  • RS Loottables That Disables Importing Modded Items — lists Repurposed Structures loot tables that should not receive imported modded items; separate multiple identifiers with a comma.

Adjust both settings in the mod's configuration interface, then continue exploring the structures the mod adds.
