Resourcify Settings Guide: GUI Scale, Thumbnails, Links, GIFs, and Performance

guide

Resourcify is configured entirely through its own interface, and the options below control how its browse and project screens look and behave. You do not craft anything to change these settings; you open the relevant screen and adjust the controls there.

Where These Options Live

Every setting described here is a toggle or input field inside Resourcify's settings, reached through the mod's own screens. Each one has a title and a description shown alongside it, so you can read what a control does before changing it.

GUI Scale and Default Source

GUI scale sets the scale Resourcify uses on its browse screen and project screen. The description states you can type a number into this field, so it accepts direct numeric input rather than only a slider.

Default source decides which source is enabled when you first open the browse page. Whatever you pick here becomes the starting source each time you browse, so you are not reselecting it manually.

Thumbnails

Full-Resolution Thumbnails makes Resourcify use full-resolution images for thumbnails wherever such images exist, rather than a lower-resolution picture. The trade-off is stated plainly: some parts of the interface, such as the gallery, will take noticeably longer to load. Leave it off if you prefer faster loading, and turn it on when image quality matters more.

Open Links In Resourcify changes where supported links go. When this is enabled, clicking a link that Resourcify can handle internally — a project page on a supported platform, for example — opens inside Resourcify instead of your web browser. Disable it if you would rather those links open externally.

GIF Rendering

Disable GIF Rendering turns off Resourcify's animated image rendering. The description notes this can reduce stuttering that appears while images load. If you notice hitching as pictures appear, this is the option to try.

Browsing Toggles

Several toggles control whether Resourcify's buttons appear in other screens:

  • Enable Resource Pack Browsing — shows the browse and update button on the resource pack screen.
  • Enable Data Pack Browsing — shows the browse button on the data pack screen.
  • Enable Shader Pack Browsing — shows the browse and update button on the shader pack screen.
  • Enable World Browsing — shows the browse button on the world selection screen.

Turn any of these off if you do not want Resourcify's controls appearing in that screen.

The Advertisement Toggle

There is an option to show a small ad on the browse page. Its description explains that this supports continued development of Resourcify. You can switch it off if you prefer not to see it.

Update Prompts and Closing the Interface

When Resourcify checks for updates, it displays Checking for updates... and asks you to wait until all updates finish before closing the interface. If you need to stop early, use the cancel close button, which cancels the updates and closes the screen.

Manual Project Handling

If Resourcify reports that it cannot obtain a project on its own, a screen appears with a button that takes you to the version page in your web browser. Once the project is placed in your watched folder, Resourcify installs it automatically. That screen also shows which folder is currently being watched.

A Note on Keys

Some actions in Resourcify are bound to hotkeys. Where a control is operated by keyboard, use the corresponding hotkey and set it in the controls menu. No default key is assumed here, so assign one that suits you before relying on it.
