Customizing the Screenshot Viewer Look and Behavior in Minecraft
The Screenshot Viewer Config screen holds the options that change how the screenshot manager appears and behaves. Everything described here is adjusted through that configuration interface, not through crafting or items.
Layout and Row Count
Initial Screenshot Amount Per Row sets how many screenshots appear side by side when the screen first opens. The accepted range runs from 2 to 8. Default Screenshot List Ordering decides the sequence the screenshots are placed in when the screen opens, with Sorting by Ascending Order and Sorting by Descending Order as the available choices.
Thumbnails
Screenshot Thumbnails controls the downscale ratio between a full screenshot image and its thumbnail. Setting this to none stops thumbnail generation entirely. A related path setting points to the folder holding the thumbnail images that the screen displays.
Text Appearance
Screenshot Elements Text Color sets the color of the text that describes each screenshot element. Screenshot Names Visibility determines whether the screenshot names are shown. Render Screenshot Element Font Shadow toggles whether a shadow is drawn beneath that text.
Background and Hover
Background Opacity of the Screenshot Elements adjusts how opaque the background becomes when you hover over a screenshot element, on a scale from 0 to 100. Display Hint Tooltip controls whether a tooltip with useful information appears after you hover over a screenshot for a while.
Animations
Enable Screenshot Enlargement Animation decides whether a growing animation plays when you click a screenshot to enlarge it.
Deletion Behavior
Prompt When Deleting Screenshot adds a confirmation screen before a screenshot is removed. When it triggers, you are asked whether you are sure, with a warning that the screenshot will be lost permanently. The wording differs depending on whether one screenshot or several are being deleted. Toggle Fast Delete is also available for managing removal.
Buttons and Placement
Show Button In Pause Menu adds a button that opens screenshots directly from the pause menu. Pause Menu Button Offset and Pause Menu Button Vertical Offset move that button by a pixel amount. Show Button On Title Screen adds an equivalent button to the title screen, positioned with Title Screen Button Horizontal Offset. Render Wide Properties Button chooses whether the properties buttons are drawn wide or square.
Folder and Chat Links
Screenshots Folder is the path to the folder whose images the screen displays. Redirect Screenshot Chat Links, when enabled, makes the link printed in chat after taking a screenshot open directly in the screenshot manager.
Zoom and Scrolling
Invert Zoom Direction, if enabled, reverses the scroll direction while zooming in the screenshot viewer menu. Scroll speed of the screen ranges from 1 to 50. Zoom Mode is held down while active, and Refresh Screenshots reloads the list.
Managing Screenshots
Manage Screenshots... opens the management view. There you can delete n screenshots, rename screenshot by entering a new name, or use redirect to screenshot manager to open a screenshot in the manager. Right-clicking a screenshot opens management options, and copying to the clipboard is done with the copy action. A successful copy reports that the screenshot was copied; a failed one reports the failure. If nothing has been captured yet, the screen reports that no screenshots exist.
Opening the Manager
Use Open Screenshot Manager to reach the screen, or Open Screenshot Folder to browse the files directly. If in-game configuration is unavailable, the screen notes that no config is supported and suggests the 'Configured' mod.
For actions that have a hotkey but no stated default, use the corresponding hotkey and set it in the controls menu.
