This guide explains how to reroll the properties of Runic weapons and craft Runefused Gems.

Rerolling Runic Weapon Properties

You can change the properties of Runic weapons using a Runic Tablet. This process requires a Runic Tablet, the Runic weapon you wish to modify, and a Diamond.

To reroll a Runic weapon, use the following recipe:

Runic Tablet + Runic weapon + Diamond -> Runic weapon

There are 15 different Runic weapons that can be rerolled in this way:

The Runic Tablet is also used to craft Runic weapons from their Netherite counterparts. This process involves a Runic Tablet, a Netherite weapon, and a Diamond. For example:

Runic Tablet + Netherite Chakram + Diamond -> Runic Chakram

Crafting Runic Gems

You can craft a Runefused Gem using a smithing table. This gem is involved in further crafting processes.

To craft a Runefused Gem, combine these items:

Runic Tablet + Empowered Remnant + Crying Obsidian -> Runefused Gem

Obtaining Empowered Remnants

Empowered Remnants are an ingredient in crafting Runefused Gems. They can be obtained through smelting.

You can smelt the following items to get an Empowered Remnant:

Runefused Gem -> Empowered Remnant
The Watcher -> Empowered Remnant

Every weapon the reroll accepts

Rerolling is a smithing-table recipe, and fifteen of them exist — one for each runic weapon. The pattern never changes: a Runic Tablet in the template slot, the runic weapon in the middle, and a Diamond as the addition. What comes out is the same weapon with its runic properties rolled again.

The covered weapons include the Runic Chakram, Runic Claymore, Runic Cutlass, Runic Glaive and Runic Greataxe, and the rest of the runic line follows the same recipe with its own weapon in the middle slot.

Two things follow from the recipe's shape. The weapon is never consumed, so a bad roll costs you only the tablet and the diamond rather than the weapon you have been enchanting. And because the reroll works on the item in place, enchantments and repairs already invested in the weapon stay with it — you are re-rolling the runic property, not rebuilding the sword.

Budgeting for it

A tablet and a diamond per attempt makes rerolling cheap enough to repeat but expensive enough to plan. Collect several tablets before you start rather than rolling once and walking away, because the property you want may take a handful of attempts, and stopping halfway leaves you carrying a weapon with a roll you did not choose.
