Superb Warfare Ores, Ammunition and Weapon Perks
This guide covers the material side of Superb Warfare: where its three ores generate, how the ammunition types differ, and what the reforge system does to a weapon.
Mining for the three metals
Superb Warfare adds silver, scheelite and galena, all generating in the overworld:
Silver Ore — Y=48 to Y=1
Scheelite Ore — Y=48 to Y=1
Galena Ore — Y=36 to Y=1
Silver and scheelite share an identical band, so any level you mine for one works for the other. Galena's ceiling sits twelve blocks lower, which is the one fact worth planning around — dig your main shaft below Y=36 and all three are in reach from the same corridor.
Ammunition is a real choice
Two specialist rounds pull in opposite directions:
- Armour-piercing ignores a share of the target's armour. The amount is not fixed — it starts at 35 percent and gains 5 percentage points for each perk level on the round.
- Hollow-point adds damage that scales inversely with the target's armour, so it hits hardest against targets wearing little.
That pairing means the right ammunition depends entirely on what you are shooting. Carrying only one type leaves damage on the table against half the things you meet.
The Gun Reforge Table
Perks are added to guns at the
Gun Reforge Table, which improves a weapon in place rather than requiring a better one. Since armour-piercing performance scales directly with perk level, reforging and ammunition choice are the same decision rather than separate ones.
Where these fit in the recipe list
The mod's material processing is small and vanilla-shaped — 8 Smelting, 14 Blasting, 2 Crushing and 1 Mixing recipe — because the interesting step is not refining ore but the 104 Researching recipes that unlock what you can build with it.
46 Smithing Transform recipes handle upgrades, and 44 Vehicle Assembling recipes cover the vehicle line.
Reading damage honestly
The mod ships a Target Deployer that reports the damage dealt and the distance in chat when you shoot it. With 337 items in the mod and a perk system layered on top, that block is the only reliable way to compare two loadouts — the numbers come from the game rather than from feel.
Scale and versions
368 pages across 337 items and 31 blocks, with no worldgen structures at all. Both builds are 0.8.9.1 — final on 1.21.1, hotfix on 1.20.1 — and their recipe lists differ by a single entry.
