Forging Zack's Scythe and Holy Crucifix Relics in The Box Of Horrors
Combining gold ingots with a totem of undying creates the Crucifix relic to heal players and repel nether demons in The Box Of Horrors. Alongside holy relics, players can forge brutal cursed scythes and alien ray guns using souls harvested from slain monsters.
Crafting and Wielding the Holy Crucifix
The
Crucifix provides critical defense against demonic entities that wander the dark dimensions and nether wastes.
To craft 1
Crucifix, arrange materials in an offset cross across a crafting table:
- Top row: empty slot, 1 Gold Ingot, 1 Gold Ingot
- Middle row: empty slot, 1 Totem of Undying, 1 Gold Ingot
- Bottom row: 1 Gold Ingot in the bottom-left slot, two empty slots
This recipe consumes 4 Gold Ingots and 1 Totem of Undying.
Holding Shift while inspecting the Crucifix displays its combat properties:
- "[Shift]"
- "- Heals the player on use."
- "- Burns Demons on contact."
When right-clicked in hand, the Crucifix channels divine energy to restore player health during intense combat. Furthermore, the Crucifix can be launched as a holy ranged projectile. When the projectile collides with hostile nether demons, it erupts in holy fire, burning demonic foes and banishing them from the battlefield.
Forging Zack's Scythe
For close-quarters combat,
Zack's Scythe offers wide sweeping reach and high offensive damage.
To craft 1
Zack's Scythe, combine the following components in a crafting table:
- Top row: 1 Killer's Knife, 1 Iron Ingot, 1 Iron Ingot
- Middle row: empty slot, 1 Stick, 1
Killer's Soul - Bottom row: 1 Stick, 1
Killer's Soul, empty slot
This recipe requires 1 Killer's Knife, 2 Iron Ingots, 2 Sticks, and 2 Killer's Souls.
The scythe's tooltip warns the wielder of its volatile nature:
- "A killer's weapon."
- "[Shift]"
- "- On hit: Low chance of accelerated movement"
- "- Small self-damage chance"
When slashing groups of hostile mobs, the scythe has a low chance to grant the wielder swift acceleration, allowing agile hit-and-run tactics. However, wielding a cursed blade carries risk: the scythe occasionally inflicts minor recoil self-damage on the user, requiring careful health management during extended battles.
Crafting the Alien Ray Gun
Players who prefer ranged firepower over melee combat can assemble the
Ray Gun:
- Top row: 1
Spinel, 1 Iron Ingot, 1 Iron Ingot - Middle row: 1 Iron Ingot, 1
Exotic Soul, 1
Exotic Soul - Bottom row: empty
Consuming 1 Spinel, 3 Iron Ingots, and 2 Exotic Souls, this firearm shoots concentrated beams of alien plasma. The projectiles pierce through supernatural defenses, providing high-precision suppression against tough occult creatures from safe distances.
