Harvesting Entity Souls and Brewing the Applacalypse
Slaying entities with the Soul Stealer harvests four distinct soul varieties required to assemble the mythical Applacalypse relic in The Box Of Horrors. This occult weapon and dark fruit allow ambitious players to extract spiritual energy from fallen mobs and transform ordinary undead mounts into apocalyptic beasts.
Forging the Soul Stealer Dagger
The 
Soul Stealer is a specialized ritual blade engineered specifically to reap spiritual essence. To craft 1 Soul Stealer, place the following materials into a crafting grid:
- Top row: empty slot, 1 Iron Ingot, 1
Bloodstone - Middle row: 1 Iron Ingot, 1 Gold Ingot, empty slot
- Bottom row: 1 Stick in the bottom-left slot, two empty slots
The resulting weapon features an in-game tooltip stating: "Killing any entity drops a random Soul type."
When a player uses the Soul Stealer to deliver the fatal blow to any living entity, an occult chime sounds and the slain mob releases a floating spiritual remnant.
The Four Extracted Soul Varieties
Slaying mobs with the Soul Stealer yields four distinct soul varieties:
Demonic Soul: A fiery crimson soul harvested from hellish and nether entities.
Exotic Soul: An iridescent celestial soul containing extraterrestrial energy.
Killer's Soul: A dark malicious soul carrying the violent intent of predatory beasts.
Monstrous Soul: A heavy brute soul condensed from towering aberrations.
Collecting multiple copies of each soul type is required to assemble advanced occult weaponry, firearms, and summoning artifacts.
Crafting the Applacalypse Artifact
Combining all four soul varieties with a consecrated golden fruit creates the 
Applacalypse, one of the most powerful relics in the mod.
To craft 1 Applacalypse, arrange the following items in a 3x3 crafting grid:
- Top row: 2 Exotic Souls followed by 1 Demonic Soul
- Middle row: 1 Monstrous Soul, 1 Golden Apple in the center, and 1 Demonic Soul
- Bottom row: 1 Monstrous Soul followed by 2 Killer's Souls
This recipe requires 2 Exotic Souls, 2 Demonic Souls, 2 Monstrous Souls, 1 Golden Apple, and 2 Killer's Souls.
Transforming Skeleton Horses into Mounts of Doom
Holding Shift while viewing the Applacalypse reveals its hidden power:
- "A strange power sleeps inside this apple."
- "[Shift] - Used to transform Skeleton Horses into: One of the Horses of the Apocalypse, or A Unicorn."
To trigger the transformation, approach a tamed or wild Skeleton Horse and right-click it with the Applacalypse. The horse consumes the dark apple with an evoker summoning roar. Dark energy envelopes the steed, transmuting the skeletal animal into one of the legendary Horses of the Apocalypse or a mythical Unicorn. These empowered mounts possess immense speed and resilience, serving as formidable steeds for exploring high-danger zones.
