The Bumblezone: The Bee Dimension
The Bumblezone is a dimension entirely themed around bees, full of new bee-related blocks, structures and gear. This guide covers what it offers.
A dimension of bees
The Bumblezone is a bee dimension filled with brand-new bee-related blocks — honeycomb structures, honey, and hive materials on a grand scale. Exploring it feels like stepping inside a giant hive, with its own environments to navigate.
Structures and the Bee Throne
The dimension has several structures to explore, and if you are lucky you can find a special Throne-Locating Honey Compass from certain structures. That compass leads you to a Bee Throne, a key destination within the dimension.
Bee armor and rewards
A unique bee armor set can be obtained here, themed to the dimension and its inhabitants. Getting started means finding your way into the Bumblezone, exploring its hive-like structures, and following a honey compass toward its throne. For players who enjoy the vanilla bees, the Bumblezone turns that theme into a whole dimension of content to discover.
Thirty-three structures, and the spacing tells you what is common
The Bumblezone generates 33 structures, and their placement settings sort them into three clear tiers:
- Constant — Bumbling Beepartments sit on a spacing of 3 with a separation of 2, and the Cherry Veteran Tree on 4 and 1. You cannot avoid these.
- Frequent — Bee House, Candle Parkour, Cannon Range and Dance Floor all use a spacing of 15 with a separation of 7
- Landmarks — Ancient Hoops, Ancient Shrine, Battle Cubes and the Goliath Honey Fountain on 31 and 15; Gazebuzz Cluster on 48 and 25; and the Cell Maze on a spacing of 80 with a separation of 35, by far the rarest thing in the dimension
Plan a trip around that last tier. The dense structures come to you; the Cell Maze does not.
The recipe categories are mostly vanilla-shaped
157 crafting recipes on both versions, plus 6 stonecutting and three small custom categories — a 6-recipe container shapeless type and a 2-recipe NBT-keeping shapeless type, both of which exist so a craft can preserve what is inside an item rather than consuming it.
Three systems are version-locked
Token Enchanting (3 recipes) and Potion Candles (2) exist only on 1.20.1, while an Itemstack Smelting category with 4 recipes exists only on 1.21.1. Smelting itself halved, from 8 recipes to 4.
If you are following an older guide on the newer build, token enchanting is the step that will not be there.
