Ossuary Carving Recipes for Skeleton Decorations
Overview
This guide covers the complete set of Ossuary Carving recipes used to create skeleton-themed decorations. The Ossuary Carving is a crafting station that transforms plain
Bone Blocks into a variety of decorative skeletal structures, including full skeletons, partial remains, and wither variants.
Crafting the Ossuary Carving
Before you can carve decorations, you must build the Ossuary Carving itself. Its recipe is shaped and requires the following materials:
Bone x3
Corruption x4
Dark Iron Ingot x2
Arrange these in the crafting grid to produce the Ossuary Carving. Note that you will also need a
Bone Dagger, which is crafted separately from
Bone x3 in a shaped pattern. The dagger serves as your tool for the carving process.
All Ossuary Carving Recipes
The Ossuary Carving has 21 recipes in total. Every recipe takes a single
Bone Block as the input and produces one decorative skeleton item as the output. There are no other inputs or variations—just choose the decoration you want and place the Bone Block in the carving interface.

Using the Recipes
To make any of these decorations, gather
Bone Blocks—these are the only ingredient you need. Then, place a Bone Block into the Ossuary Carving along with your
Bone Dagger. Select the decoration you want from the available options, and the carving will consume the Bone Block and produce the corresponding skeleton item.
Each recipe is one-to-one: one Bone Block yields one decoration. There is no randomness or additional material cost beyond the Bone Block itself.
Decoration Placement Tips
The decorations vary in pose and arrangement. Some, like
Lying Skeleton and
Laterally Lying Skeleton, are horizontal and suit floors or ledges. Others, like
Hanged Skeleton and
Skull on Pike, are vertical and work well on walls or as freestanding displays.
Skull Pile and
Torso Pile are compact groupings that fit into corners or crypts. The wither variants share the same poses but offer a distinct visual style for darker builds.
For a complete collection, carve at least one of each of the 21 recipes. Since all recipes use the same input, you can freely choose which decorations to prioritize based on your building needs.
