Things: Twenty-Eight Items and One Recipe Each
Things is a small collection of individual additions with no systems attached. This guide covers what that means in practice.
One category, one recipe per item
28 crafting recipes on 1.21.1 (27 on 1.20.1) against 28 items. That near-exact match means each item has a single recipe, made at an ordinary bench, with no alternate route.
There is no machine, no bespoke category, no smelting step and no processing chain of any kind.
Six blocks
34 pages across 28 items and 6 blocks. The mod is overwhelmingly things you carry — which is what the name promises — with a handful of placeable pieces.
The version difference is one recipe
Twenty-eight against twenty-seven. Whatever that single recipe is, it is the entire content gap between the builds.
Both are Fabric: 0.4.2 for 1.21.1 and 0.3.3 for 1.20.1. Note that means a Forge or NeoForge pack cannot use this mod on either line.
Nothing is gated
The mod generates no worldgen structures and defines no progression. Every one of the 28 items is available from the first crafting table given its ingredients.
How to use a mod like this
Read the recipe list once and take what solves a problem you actually have. A mod with 28 independent items and no systems is a grab bag by design — there is no order to work through and no reason to make everything.
That is a genuine strength in a large pack: it competes with no tech mod's systems, occupies no space in a base, and can be ignored until a specific item turns out to be useful.
What to check before installing
The loader. Fabric-only on both Minecraft lines is the one real constraint this mod carries — everything else about it is as low-friction as a mod can be.
The mod in numbers
34 pages, 28 items, 6 blocks, 28 crafting recipes on 1.21.1 (27 on 1.20.1), 0 structures.
One category, one recipe per item, nothing else. There is no smelting, no stonecutting, no bespoke bench and no worldgen — which makes this one of the simplest mods covered on this wiki.
Why that simplicity is the point
A mod with no systems cannot conflict with another mod's systems. Nothing here competes with a tech mod for a bench, occupies a machine slot, or changes a vanilla recipe. In a large pack that is worth more than it sounds.
The one real constraint is the loader: Fabric on both Minecraft lines, so Forge and NeoForge packs cannot use it at all.
