Twigs: New Building Materials and Stone Variants
Twigs is a building mod that adds new materials and fresh renditions of vanilla blocks. This guide covers the materials worth gathering first.
New stones
Twigs introduces several new rocks with full brick, polished and shingle sets: 
Schist, 
Rhyolite, 
Bloodstone and 
Silt. Bloodstone is crafted from two Nether Quartz and two iron nuggets, while Silt is a soft riverbed material — a 
Silt Ball smelts into a 
Silt Brick, and packed silt forms dyeable 
Silt Shingles and 
Silt Pot in every color.
Vanilla additions
The mod also reworks vanilla blocks into new forms, adding columns and variants through the stonecutter — for example 
Blackstone Column from blackstone, plus chiseled bricks and cracked variants made by smelting the brick forms.
Getting started
Most Twigs blocks are made at a crafting table or stonecutter from common materials, so there is no machine to build first — just gather stone, clay-like silt and bamboo and start shaping. The decorations guide covers the mod's lanterns, pots and natural touches for finishing a build.
